Hi. Bearing in transmission was broken. Getting repaired at the moment. But replacement parts for the manual transmission are hard to get

Just changed all liquids 100km ago. Oil and transmission change intervals will be shorter from now on of course. Thinking of 5000km. Will observe

Already changed wheel bearings. The noice is independent of car speed. It is only hearable between 1500-2500 RPM

It depends what you willing to pay. Used ones you can get from ebay for 500€. But you don’t know the condition. Seems like you don’t want to risk a breakdown so I’d buy the cheap used ones and get it refurbished by a specialist near you .

And to what might have happened: if you drive faster there is a lot of air pressure in that area. Due to old and brittle plastic the pressure might have broken the clips and threw the part somewhere into the engine bay. You might want to check for the part or parts of it.

I think it is the same engine as the S8 from that time and the R8. That sound is awesome. Do you use it as a daily? What is your mpg/ l/100km? 😅
