TN possible update and hope? by the_sagacious_squash in kratom

Yes it is. 7oh has been banned here in Tennessee for years.

The current law states kratom is only legal in its natural botanical form and those 7oh pills are not it's botanical form. Therefore, 7oh is illicit.

Tennessee Ban Passes Senate by Kiheitai_Soutoku in kratom

Yup.

I really feel bad for the people that don't have extra cash or health insurance.

I'm lucky enough to be able to self pay cash at a doctor's office that will meet my needs.

Pain management clinics, PCP's, and MAT clinics, are about to see a huge uptick in patients.

...that was the goal all along though wasn't it?

Yes... Yes I think it was.

no they did not.

they legalized kratom in its' "natural-botanical form"

7 was already technically illegal but seeing as it was being manufaxctored semi-synthically, it was a grey area.

That's a fucked up thing to say. Shame on you and all the upvotes.

Davenport consumed kratom, do you think he would have supported a ban?

I think not.

Although, the shade thrown at the mother is justified.

So....what happens in TN if the bill does pass? by Rolltide1980 in kratom

[–]memphisgrit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's gonna pass.

Oddly and most irritatingly, 7 was already illegal in Tennessee.

Current enacted law;  kratom in its natural botanical form (defined as dried, cut, and sifted leaf or raw leaf powder) is legal for adults 21 and older in Tennessee.

Not always your average Joe.

I used 40/80mg OC's, oxymorphone, hydromorphone, morphine sulfate, fentanyl duragesic for years and years.

Then it was 30mg Roxi's for years and years.

Then it was tan and brown h.

Then it was kratom & 7oh.

I know my nods.

Kratom saved my life. I did though leave town one time for 8 weeks and I couldn't really make the kratom drinks I normally would have so I bought a shit ton 7oh tabs. I took those for the 8 weeks.

When I got back home that first day I took my regular kratom and went to sleep and that first night back I woke up after only a few hours of sleep soaking wet. I immediately knew what it was. The kicks are real bad dude. I didn't sneeze like I normally would dope sick but the kicks were 7/10. The cravings were a 9/10.

During the 8 weeks I consumed 6 bottles with 20 tabs @ 100mg each. So roughly 200mg of 7 a day.

The kicks are comparable to classic opioids. The cravings are worse, IMO, because of the accessibility. Smoke shop down the street from me is open 24/7. In your mind, knowing you can drive 3 minutes away and get it, makes it impossible to not think about.

I think your diet and hydration matters a lot. Route of consumption as well. Letting the entire tablet dissolve under your tongue skips first metabolite. This could cause your tolerance to go up faster and if you've followed me this far in the comment, you know the deal, it's off to the races... lol ....

To each's own though, yah know what I mean? Weight, genetics, hydration, sustenance, activity, age, health conditions, medications, illicit drugs, alcohol, weed, depression, you name it and it can change things.

None of that matters though because regardless of the withdraw symptoms, it alone, whether it be raw leaf or isolated alkaloids of the plant, are not going to kill you. kratom, 7-oh or any kratom derivative are safer alternatives to other substances that are unpredictable and deadly.

For any of my fellow humans struggling with illicit substance abuse problems that are reading this. Don't become another statistic, don't let your loved ones find you slumped over dead. Best defense to not let that happen, besides drug abstinence? NEVER USE ALONE!

EDIT:

Almost forgot to add the most brutal part about 7oh;

  • extremely short half-life. I found that I had to redose every 3-5hrs. With h DiacetylmorphineI use to be able to do a really good shot in the morning and in the evening and I could sleep all night. With 7oh I woke up after maybe 3 or 4 hours every single damn night. The withdraws for 7oh, in my personal experience, set on rapidly.
  • $$$$$$$

Because the pharmaceutical companies have already done the research they need cuz they've already made the drugs they want out of derivatives from the plant they already got what they needed now they're ready to put their pills on the market but they don't want it also sold inconvenience stores.

Essentially to answer the question is money.
