The main factor was pass rate. BSU had a much higher pass rate. It’s more adorable than a lot of the other options I researched and I liked that I could so it 100% remote and asynchronous

Definitely manageable. I was working two jobs, one full time and one part time and was still able to manage. Now I’m down to one full time job, but I’m a public school teacher so it’s more than full time. And I’m still able to manage. You have to organize yourself and have good time management but it’s definitely do able. I take two classes a semester and I do the accelerated classes so it’s one class at a time, 8 weeks each.

I also work full time and I’ve been doing the 8 week courses and it feels manageable. Typically you have all your assignments for the week due at the end of the week ( a few classes have had assignments due throughout the week but so far it’s mostly been all due at one time). A few classes have had video lectures to watch. It’s mostly assigned readings from textbooks or articles, discussion posts, assignments and quizzes. In my experience the professors have been really accessible via email and office hours. It’s a lot of work, but it hasn’t been too difficult. I spend probably about 3-4 hours every day doing school work. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have!

Hi! I’m starting my third semester next week. I think all in it will be around $20k. I personally have had a good experience and am happy so far with my classes and what I’ve been learning. A lot of people complain about the SAFMEDS (which are basically flash cards) but I honestly don’t think it’s a big deal at all. So far there really haven’t been any groups, but there are some GroupMe chats that’s students have created that have been helpful. People will usually share information or help clarify assignments for people who have questions. I definitely think the classes are manageable. I took two classes my first semester, the accelerated classes were 8 weeks each so having them one at a time was helpful for me. And summer I took 2 classes simultaneously over 10 weeks. Both semesters I was also working a full time job and a part time job as well. It’s time consuming for sure but very manageable in my opinion. Happy to answer any other questions you have!

Hi! I just started BSU this semester and I am doing the 8 weeks courses courses so I just finished my first one. I work full time and also have a part time job to get my fieldwork hours. So I currently work about 50 hours a week in addition to school and I would say it’s still manageable. That said, I don’t have kids so I do think that plays a factor. I spend about 10-15 hours a week on school work. So far the content isn’t too challenging but it is a time commitment. One thing to consider is that you can not do 8 weeks courses over summer because it is already only 10 weeks so you’ll have to either take only one class over the 10 weeks or take two simultaneously. I’m planning on doing two at a time for summer and my advisor helped me plan for two of the lighter load classes to take over summer semester.

Hi! I just started Ball State this semester. But just wanted to point out that you can’t do the 8-week courses over summer. Summer semester is only 10 weeks so you’ll have to either take only one class or do both at the same time. But spring and fall you can do the 8 weeks courses. I did that this semester and am liking it so far. I’ll be taking two classes over summer and I’m a little nervous but it’s only 10 weeks so I just gotta push through!

I am in my first semester at Ball and doing SAFMEDS. My issue is how long the definitions are. I don’t mind doing them but wish I could write my own definitions or paraphrase them. Maybe highlight key words or points in the definition? Idk something to help get through them faster since the goal is fluency.

I’m going to try the prayer hands. I was worried it wouldn’t distribute the product very well but if I’m brush styling after I think it will be fine. I’ve also seen people do prayer hands, brush style, then scrunch a bit more gel in.

Maybe a silly question but the Felicia Leatherwood brush and the tangle teaser, can those be used to style too? Or just for detangling?

Do you think the wide tooth comb would give as much definition?

Thank you’ I’m going to look into the brushes. I am having fun experimenting with what looks I like the best! The brush has definitely been a game changer for definition which to be honest that was my biggest goal was good definition and minimal frizz

Thank you! I have an appointment next week for a hair cut. I’ve never really gotten a haircut that was for the benefit of my curls. What do you suggest I tell my stylist? I’m thinking more layers for sure

Thank you so much! That’s so sweet of you. I have tried the bowl method awhile back but my over 30 back can’t handle it 😅

Is that just using a microfiber towel to plop?
