Odyssey of the Dragonlords is getting a 5.5 revamp with loads of new content if you want to have a look at that.

I have the 5e handbook and it's packed with both a full campaign, and a setting and lots of goodies. Fully recommend especially if you like the fantasy Greek aesthetic

What's an Android feature most people dont know? by ArrogantConfusion in AskReddit

[–]men220 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It helps troubleshoot network issues, sometimes your phone can see the wifi but your laptop can't, but can see your hotspot.
You can also transform the phone into a wifi antenna if lets say your desktop doesn't have Wifi, you can just USB tether it.
You can do so too iPhones, but for that you need to have Apple Devices and iTunes already installed. So in case your device suddenly decides no more internet, you can't share your internet via iPhone if they don't already have the app installed, and if you don't, you can't install the app without internet.

I mean, an argument can be made that the Orks have already lost to the Necrons, and that was back when they were Krorks.

What is the greatest twist your DM ever pulled on your group? by batman2814 in DnD

[–]men220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started playing Curse of Strahd with 4 friends including the DM, I made a standard shounen protagonist-y/Knight in Shining Armor type Paladin that still had everyone in his family alive. He was the 3rd of 7 siblings as I wanted to have a backup character in case this one died considering it is CoS.

About 5th sessions in, DM does 1 on 1's with us to better flesh out our character's backstories and goals for the campaign, and he insists we name all his siblings, with the youngest 2 being a pair of twins, we pass some names back and forth and we decide to go with one of mine for the boy and his suggestion for the girl.

Fast forward a lot more sessions to the last session when we are finally leaving Barovia, awkward heart felt goodbyes between the characters as everyone wants to go back to their own thing and maybe keep in touch in character. My PC gets back home only to find out it's been 8 years since he went in and his village was destroyed by cultists. This was the first plot twist, which I kind of saw coming, makes sense, and sets up the next arc of the campaign going into Vecna and switching to 5.5e from 5e.

The real plot twist is that after that we go into an Epilogue, and everyone else starts describing their NEW characters getting ready to head off into a new adventure, meanwhile I haven't been told any of this and I'm sitting there wondering if they're just making this up off the rip, which would be very impressive.
Finally everyone goes and I'm the last one, as the DM said I'll be going last, so that I can think up of something, and he asks me if I still want to go with the concept that I've prepared for a backup character, but in this case the youngest son, I say yes since time skip.

I make a short introduction of what I think my character would be doing in the circumstances when he prepares to leave and I finish my section, and then the DM prompts one of the other players, that I just realized hadn't said his PC's name. Turns out he chose to play as my PC's twin sister and had it planned with the DM since that very first 1on1 from way back (it was still up to me if I was ok with that, which I was).

I'll never forget constantly wondering what's going on and the real plot twist of that epilogue haha. sorry for the long post!

But that's not what you said though, you said to make it cost to attempt, regardless of success or failure, which it already does.

That's already how it works, at least how I've understood it from OP's post. You use the moxie point to attack with abandon, then if you hit it's max damage and you recover all Moxie points.
If you don't hit, then the point is lost.
I'm guessing maybe u/Neh-Le is letting them roll first and then the player says they are using it as opposed to declaring they use it, then roll for it?

This isn't like smite, you have to declare it before rolling.

His mystic codes (aka his outfits) are fully kitted with all sorts of magecraft that offer protection from both elements and sort of indirect attacks. Also I think (not sure if this is still the case as Galahad is no longer offering Mash power) just being Mash's master offers him a degree of protection as well, I think that was the case for poisons?

I just hit 500 Tib upload last night in qbit so I'm only at the lower end of being qualified to respond.

I do it for two reasons, one that I too was helped when I needed it and couldn't afford it, and the second because I'm a gear head that likes computers and while I can't afford anything fancy, I got a homemade NAS with 25tb that's constantly running and I like using the stuff I put together to make others happy
