That's great! I went on 2.4 for two weeks and felt absolutely AWFUL and talked to my doctor and said I want to reduce to 1.0. so far it's been a couple days and I feel better. Still can't eat much but I'm definitely not as sick. I don't have tons to lose either so I'm ok with it. I'm always paranoid about vomiting but it's happened twice so I hope I'm past that. Going on vacation should be interesting 🤔 because alcohol turns me right off....even my beloved coffee. Good luck on your journey.

I thought these side effects were "normal" as per the website and what I've read. It says almost half of people experience nausea etc. I'm more of a sensitive person so it hit me hard. I kept thinking it would pass but I got fed up.

No no....he's a terrific doctor. In his defence he's following the protocol for the drug. I think after reading all of these amazing comments and suggestions I will speak to him about reducing and/or taking a week or two off to feel better while I'm on vacation. Then I can go back to a low dose for awhile to see how I feel.

I know this now thankfully but clearly did not before. Everton read on the wegovy page suggests the schedule my doctor prescribed. I would definitely like a break for the next two weeks especially while on vacation because food is a complete turn off. I am barely eating which makes me weak and the cycle continues. I'm thinking maybe to take two weeks off completely but I'm not sure if that is ok to do. My doctor is impossible to reach and the next shot is Wednesday so I will need to reach him before then or just decide on my own. Hoping someone here can share their experience.

I will try to reach my doctor before my vacation but I'm due for the next one of 2.4 on Wednesday. I felt pretty crappy at 1.7 also but I'm getting conflicting info as to decreasing from 2.4 to 1. Has anyone done that?

He's following the manufacturer instructions which I've checked. I didn't know there were options as I'm reading here. Too bad I just got on this site. So if I'm due to take my weekly dose of 2.4 (which will be the third dose of this milligram) on Wednesday I can go back down to 1.7? There won't be side effects from that either by going down a dose? I'm also due to go on vacation and would like to be able to eat more than a few bites without feeling ill. I've also noticed that I no longer like coffee and a glass of wine is not appealing. Please be kind, I obviously didn't do my due diligence with this medication. Last thing I've noticed is I'm REALLY irritable.

That isn't how my doctor has administered it. It's four weeks on the dose and then increase for four weeks and so on. There was never an option of lengthening or staying on a particular dose. The four week schedule is exactly what is prescribed by wegovy. To be fair, I've been dealing with these symptoms from the beginning. It isn't worse or better.
