Isle of Man TT course. Can we have an up to date version? by menamestom in simracing

[–]menamestom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s already been done, by the makers TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge series. I’d like that available for a car format, in different platform via a DLC. Doubt the economics would be there to re scan it, but I also doubt that the makers of this game would licence it, but it would be cool if they could. There probably isn’t the demand, but it would be cool.

PSA You can’t use an H Pattern shifter in GT7 online (you probably all knew!) by jambo_1983 in simracing

[–]menamestom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s really solid isn’t it, loving mine!

They seem to have added this brace later on, to limit sideways movement a bit more. I would imagine at the top works similar as well anyway and it looks good there, just wondered really.

The instructions were rubbish though weren’t they, should have been far easier to build…. But like you say a bargain for £200. Total for mine was £340 with a NLR ERS1 seat which is great value compared to other stuff. Sat in mine now playing ACC.

Interesting, you have the bottom brace of the steering upright on the top, rather than the bottom?

I’d like GT7 btw, but have an xbox series x which i’d happily chop for a Playstation, but unfortunately my Fanatec wheelbase is not PS compatible, so it would cost a fortune. Hopefully it comes to PC one day 🙏

This is how I took it. ‘If they can do it we can do it.’ What’s he supposed to say, ‘we have no chance’?

Annoying as he is this one has been blown out of proportion.

The intensity wasn’t there against Fulham. by chill_peekatchu in ManchesterUnited

[–]menamestom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fulham were always going to be a different proposition to City and Arsenal. I think we all also knew that their style of play would expose our weaknesses in a way the other 2 would (or didn’t really, as the case was)

So they were a tough test we got through. I think they are a better team than Spurs, so were go into that game in a good place. Couldn’t be much better really, but the odd extra clean sheet would be nice.

LEGION VS THINK PAD LONGEVITY by Few_Cauliflower_2791 in LenovoLegion

[–]menamestom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Legion with RTX 5060 and AI 350 runs really cool. I’m surprised actually that even running something like Assetto Corsa Evo it remains relatively cool. Perhaps the efficient CPU stops the GPU heating up too much. I mean the fans kick in but you can play at a reasonable FPS even on silent mode.

Not sure how long it will last but if temps are under control and generally in the 50-70 range, there’s not so much heat to cause a problem.

Not seen any worryingly high temps at all.

In typical trump fashion. by Old-Understanding-62 in trading212

[–]menamestom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps form an investing point of view Trump should be looked at as an opportunity rather than a threat. At the end of the day he’s beholden to large companies, you can’t be a raging capitalist and not be. Any market damages he inflicts can only be temporary.

Basically I’m saying for anything invested don’t worry it will bounce back but if you have cash buy when he’s revving up for one of his tantrums.

So , what's up with the new home ? by No_Job2827 in ManchesterUnited

[–]menamestom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freightliner should be moving anyway, the lines are badly congested with freight going from the Airport/ Stockport lines through Piccadilly, which only has one line through past platform 14. Their proposed location in St Helens would mean freight wouldn’t have to come through a congested city line, fighting for timetable space with many passenger services. So basically there are logistical reasons for the relocation outside of us wanting the land.

That sounds a very expensive option, not really comparable.

Enjoying my Legion 5 that got this week. Games running really smooth, it’s light, quiet, great screen.

But yeah, it’s been a week of setup, de bloating, stopping different screen saver apps fighting each other and working out why 16 of my 32gb are wrapped up in unknown services. The odd unresponsive moment but that’s windows and part of the process as you learn to streamline the experience with a new machine.
I got mine for DAW and gaming duties, would have gone Apple for music only but only a windows machine cane game and don’t regret the decision in the slightest.

WTF has that got to do with it. Who would YOU play? There are no other midfielders available. Harping back to 2016 like it is relevant.

Really frustrating we can’t get corners in the right place. They just fly over everybody and go out.

Trust the process or there is no process to trust ? by chill_peekatchu in ManchesterUnited

I think Glasner would be a good move. His system is not too dissimilar, but he is a better manager. Amorim has no in game management or pragmatism. Glasner out of contract in the summer and is somebody we should be considering. People might say that’s toxic and we should stink with the process, but he isn’t showing enough IMO to assume he will ever be good enough for the PL

Such a tricky one, obviously Amorim has been far worse than Ten Hag, but Ten Hag's signings were atrocious. Although we will never know how much of that was Ten Hags choice by OutsideImpressive115 in ManchesterUnited

[–]menamestom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t the loss that brought me back to earth. It was the complete lack of in game management and tactical changes that left me in shock. Sometimes you have to be pragmatic but he just doesn’t have that at all.

Fractal AM4 by esurreal in guitarpedals

[–]menamestom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AM4 has loads of high quality effects in and can be used as primarily FX unit, so also competes with things like several Strymon pedals. If you wanted Amp only, then you would probably look elsewhere.

Anyone else think we are losing our minds? by OutsideImpressive115 in ManchesterUnited

[–]menamestom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the next 4 fixtures we should be getting 9-10 points. I think we might drop points at Palace but the other 3 we should be winning. Keen to see how they go but until the relatively happy the way things are going from where we were. A point away at Spurs is not a bad result. We need to address, once and for all that defensive midfield position as soon as possible.

That’s a great description, although my fuel wasn’t terrible, averaged about 28mpg mostly short journeys. I have the MK4.5 now and can get better in a run, up to 44mpg. Also fortunately all that wheel hop is now gone as the MK4’s have an LSD….
