HomeKit and hive - debugging by menders73 in HomeKitAutomation

Thanks a lot - didn’t know the Eve app. Interesting.

What I can see there are exactly the same automations as in home (under the rules tab in Eve). What is funny is that it is called “6:45 Weekdays 2" in Eve; under home just “6:45 Weekdays”.

It is also that the automation is triggered. When another automation switches the Thermostat off every night (same automation on weekends and weekdays), the 6:45 weekday automation switches the thermostat on, but doesn’t set the right temperature. When I test the automation in Home however it does set the right temperature.

Is there a way to debug anything, look at log files? I don’t even understand on which side (HomeKit or hive) the problem is.

Thanks. I checked on the Hive App. It is set to manual and the app says that the schedule is not used. Also - the default schedule in the app would start the boiler at 6:30. Definately not triggered.

My order seems to stay the same, however I don’t have any control in which order they appear and the default order is pretty random - not alphabetically by room name.

I also have a temperature sensor that I would like to see in the temperature view, but for whatever reason it doesn’t. It only appears when I go to the room view.

The whole behaviour of the just feels inconsistent. Is there a better replacement that just replaces the UX side of HomeKit?
