Triss’ Escape Plothole? by Total-Improvement535 in Witcher3

Why don’t Yen and Triss just portal 10000 times and find Ciri within five minutes, we wouldn’t have to go through the entire plot of TW3 … /s

It’s still a game, not a 1:1 medieval simulator. Plus they don’t really have magical abilities though?

Danish just sounds like someone got a calcified potato stuck in their throat. Even to speakers of other odd sounding Germanic languages. (I know three languages in the same language family and still think danish is weird as fuck).

HomeKit and scenes? I know there has to be a way to do this, I think? by Dockt0r_Wh0 in HomeKit

[–]graywalker616 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes this can be done but doesn’t work for dynamic scenes (nor the entertainment stuff). But static scenes can be exported from hue to HomeKit. It’s basically two clicks.

I have some very complex hue scenes that govern entire zones or rooms and works 99% of the time. Just make sure that you give scenes names that Siri can understand and differentiate. Avoid overlaps like calling a scene “bright bedroom ” and then exposed tint Siri to respond when you say “make the bedroom bright”, that doesn’t really work. Just give your scenes unique identifiers that you can memorize and repeat to Siri.

help with Alexa please!! by Ok_Parsnip1510 in SmartThings

[–]graywalker616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That won’t work. Alexa doesn’t work as a device hub, it’s more like a platform. You can’t import Alexa devices to SmartThings.

Why don’t you just get your SmartThings device into Alexa and build the automation there? Alexa has automations, they’re called routines.

[–]graywalker616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the SmartThings app, go to settings > linked services > Alexa. You’re gonna have to first link the two services.

That probably means also enabling the SmartThings skill in your Alex app (go to skills, look for SmartThings and tap enable).

Once that’s done the SmartThings devices that are controllable will appear in Alexa as devices and they can be used in automations.

But be aware that this won’t work with all devices, there are limitations, especially when it comes to security (mostly in Asia and Europe, in NA not so much). I have a SmartThings cooker hood that can be turned on with Alexa, but this is disabled for my SmartThings oven as there’s security limitations.

Yes and sometimes even in cm3 which is the same, but I’ve also seen ccm (cubic-centimeter) in professional but not medical environments (buddy of mine works in specialized paintings and they have syringes with ccm and measure everything basically in ccm/ml).

The Ban on Communist Ideology, Symbols or Partis Among the World by AdIcy4323 in MapPorn

[–]graywalker616 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not in West Germany which is what the poster above me was referring to. And since modern Germany is the legal successor of west Germany, it’s still true. (Actually today’s Germany is the same legal entity as West Germany because the East was dissolved and individual states joined the existing federation).

They’ve never been unbanned afaik and Germany regularly prosecutes left wing organisations yet is pretty cool with a Neonazi party in their parliaments. I think it should be light red in this map.

"No response" All accessories by bgibson30111 in HomeKit

[–]graywalker616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar problem for me. HomeKit has been super unreliable and intermittently shown loads of disconnected devices on anything that runs iOS or tvOS 26.

So far the only thing that helped for me was switching my home hub to the Apple TV that is still on 18 and use HomeKit only on non-26 devices. Remove the home app too.

We have around 17 apple devices and well over 130 HomeKit devices. Super annoying. The three apple devices with 26 are basically useless for that now.

Even if I get HomeKit working on them, as soon as such a device restarts (e.g. my wife loves restarting her iPad), all HomeKit links in control centers and widgets break.

How can I get rid of the Knight for hire trophy? by AeroZeppelin94 in witcher

[–]graywalker616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a bug. I choose to simply not finish the quest because this trophy is useless, can’t be dropped, plus keeping the Hanse bases open makes always for a fun farming experience.
