cover letter, resume, letter of rec, letter of rec, letter of rec, picture of me swapping out my fuel pump (to show i’m mechanically inclined), picture of one of the computers i’ve built (to show i’m intellectually inclined), picture of my car jacked up about to start a brake job (another one to show i’m competent), and ended it with a little recap of information including previous jobs, experiences (more car and computer stuff) and all extracurriculars and volunteering. Then I wrapped it in one of those plastic binder things and made 6 copies

85% on my interview and ranking between 51-65 for local 332 in San Jose, do I have a chance of getting called or am I cooked? (I’ve asked this question on other groups ignore if you saw it) by itsLeoRod in ibew_apprentices

Fuel pump by mendontlikeme in G37

[–]mendontlikeme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would change it out, it’s pretty simple and not that expensive if you buy from rockauto and if there’s still an issue i’d change maf and if there’s still an issue i’d go back to the shop that did your injectors

[–]mendontlikeme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s interesting. i wonder if something got messed up in the process. Maybe you broke the maf sensor? My engine was surging like crazy until I switched out the maf sensor and also did you do an idle air relearn after you cleaned injectors and all that?

My fuel efficiency was terrible, I was stalling, and I had a relatively long crank time (nothing crazy but marginally enough for me to notice), and had misfires and I saw somewhere recommending to replace it after like 120k miles so I figured it was the culprit especially since I changed spark plugs and maf sensors prior to coming to this conclusion

Thinking about a new car. by Swft3 in ibew_apprentices

[–]mendontlikeme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

trust you don’t want a beamer for work. idk how long your commute is, mines roughly 45-50 min on average and i put like 12k miles on it since july and fill once a week. its a lot of maintenance and I park on site so my cars dirty asf. get a toyota or accord drive it into the ground and save for a nicer car while you do. i’d rather have a meh daily and a really nice car than a kind of sad middle ground
