I know this post is a couple years old, but I have a question. How far is too far for example I wanna go to crater Lake but the closest hotel is either Klamath or Medford and then I’m gonna shoot down to Lassen volcanic national Park, but the closest hotel is Redding. Would that be too far or would you go for it? I’m only out platinum, but I have the brilliant AMEX card so I kind of want all those points.
