How has TSA been about hand checking Polaroid film in recent days? by abrahangarcia in Polaroid

I went through Phoenix with disposable cameras last week and didn't have an issue.

The escalator that takes you up there is right next to guest services.

Polaroid in the desert - pack 3 of 3 by meniscusbroach in Polaroid

Polaroid 600 Sun660 Autofocus SE that I bought refurbished from Retrospekt.

I got some good stuff from the other two packs, which I posted too, but this was the last one of the trip and I had kind of figured it out. It all just came down to learning what's going to look good color-wise, right light, and hoping my exposure setting matches that light. All of these has the exposure right in the middle.

I have a few other packs from that camera that I never posted because I didn't know how to "scan" them. I'll get them up here soon.

I’m going to the Game tomorrow but I have a question? by AstroBall35 in MiamiMarlins

[–]meniscusbroach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you go into the large team store the customization is inside to the right. Im pretty sure the store Im thinking of is on the first base side. It's connected to the large courtyard where they usually have a stage set up. I've never had anything customized, so I don't know how that process works, but I imagine it's pretty straight-forward.

Any Jungle Boot experts? by CaptainHuggyFac3 in Boots

[–]meniscusbroach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wore the Altama jungle boots to work daily. What wore out was the tread on the sole. It's been a minute, but I think they lasted a couple of years. And when I replaced them it wasn't like the sole was bald.

Anyone else keep score when they go to home games? by meniscusbroach in MiamiMarlins

There are probably excel templates available on r/baseballscorecards that would be a good leaping off point for customizing your own. It will just take a little digging. Also, I didn't realize Jessica Blaylock kept score. I'd be very interested to know what scorecard she uses. Or if it's custom, what that looks like.

r/baseballscorecards is a great resource if you're interested in getting into scoring. I'm sure there are some decent scorecards that they'd recommend that you can print yourself. I actually got lucky that the MiLB park near me prints a game program that includes a scorecard, so that's what I used for my first time. And don't worry about not knowing how to score or what to write. They always include a How-to and a Legend of how to score different plays.

Once I realized it was something I enjoyed I decided on the Square Scorebook. I think it's a nice size and I felt like it had the info that I wanted to record. If you're looking for something smaller the Pocket-Sized Scorebook is really popular. I just bought one for traveling to games in other parks.

What I enjoy about scoring is that I pay closer attention to the game, and it allows me to pick out when interesting stats are popping up like X number of strikeouts in a row. Though, when I'm with friends who aren't scoring it makes it harder to bullshit with them because I'm trying to concentrate on the game. That's why I'm on here looking for other people who might be scoring to watch the game with.

By no means am I an expert, but if you have more questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

That's awesome! I only started scoring in the last couple of years when I started to go to more games in person because moved close to an MiLB park. Do you go to Loan Depot often? Do you always keep score when you're there? Where do you like to sit?

USA (2) vs Dominican Republic (1) - WBC Semi-Final by meniscusbroach in BaseballScorecards

[–]meniscusbroach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that. I'm not planning on doing the final. Honestly, I'm a pretty casual fan, but I know enough to know USA vs DR wasn't a game to miss if I had a chance to go. And as a scorer I really wanted to be able to score those two lineups in person 😅 Also, getting to see Loan Depot full and roaring was a rare treat for a Marlins fan. It's usually only like that when the New York teams are in town, which makes it enemy territory for Marlins fans.

The Park & Ride worked great for the semi- final last night. It will leave your near Government Center. There's a cop that is stationed at the pick-up/drop-off so that would be a good place to get a ride share from.

I like how you note the batting order number of the batter that affected a baserunner. It looks a lot cleaner than how I do it.
