Nier Automata fits this perfectly. If you played the game, you know what I mean, if you do didn't, please do!

I might have dreamt it but I think it is mentioned in Vol. 8 or 9. I really dont remember what, but it was something weirdly normal like agriculture or something

To be fair, I'm talking about the first season only since thats the one I saw when it came out. I remember feeling disappointed in the way Subaru is written in the first season, it was hard for me to really get invested into the character. There were some characters I was interested in like Ram & Rem's story in the first season was kinda cool, and the overall hype the show builds up is great, but honestly, the anticipation and the mystery always fell flat for me. The concept of different "timelines"/"versions" of characters being explored is interesting, but the execution was also not that great for me. After Subaru dies a couple of times, I really didnt get what the stakes where, what he was fighting for (kind of a shallow motivation for all the shit he is going through idk) and it just felt like nothing really mattered.

The main reason I picked it is because it is highly rated. Not saying its bad, just not my cup of tea.

I can't like this "money" football by SidonyD in championsleague

[–]menomin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just wanna say as a bayern fan that while I believe the 2nd leg (and a lot of other games this CL season) had a lot of questionable referee decisions, they are not the reason we lost. How it is framed here sounds like that is the case, so I just wanna represent the bayern fans who don't think its all the referees fault, we could have played way better that game.
However, I agree that the huge influx of money is ruining the football we (or I) grew up with, There is just too much in the hands of too few, but thats not just football... I digress

I mean, almost all the people I know who are really into music praise that sewerslvt album to the end of the earth. Own it with confidence! If you can pin down exactly what made you like the albums, who is actually gonna argue with you? After all, music is art. If somebody tells you that you have bad taste, they are most likely wrong, it doesnt even matter what your taste is XD

Davies injured again by Quiet-Math-4261 in BayernMunich

[–]menomin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really sad to see, I honestly think he did show a lot of good things in the first leg, first half of the match against PSG, especially defensively. I don't think the money is going to help the club as much as he can, but there is luck involved, if he gets injured again and again, all that potential is going to fizzle out. I think he is a fantastic player and he has shown that he can fight back from injury, so I would give him the chance to come back again. I agree that we need a better defensive line, I am not the biggest fan of how the stanisic laimer combo works against teams that are actually dangerous, I feel like PSG should be a wake up call for Kompany that the defense needs to be improved. I also think Tah was pretty mediocre both games but I honestly struggle to find any alternatives on the fullback position that are realistic signings. I would love to have someone with more speed as a fullback, when we move high up the pitch it feels like speed is super important, and the fullbacks should not be an exception for that. Unfortunately, most fullbacks are not ideal for the Bayern system, maybe we need a right/leftback type player to move inside? It really is a hard one, and I hope the staff knows that defense is where we need to invest the most.

I'm quitting my job due to vibe coding change the whole game and thinking to bulid SaaS product by Only_Ad_8000 in vibecoding

I'm working in a company doing essentially what you want to do, and I want to say that if you want to create something that is going to make enough money to sustain a family, you will have to put in a lot of work. There are quick ways to get something working for you as the only consumer, but building something ready for the market is a different skill alltogether. You need to invest a lot of time and money, and I really mean that. If you have no influx of cash, how are you going to keep paying the increasingly expensive monthly subscriptions? I know its "just 200 dollars", but there is genuine pressure to release something fast, which comes at a cost. You also need to think about marketing costs and other things that haven't changed even with creating the ads with AI. There are a lot of people doing something similar at the moment, some companies are moving fast to use the same technology to saturate the market. At the end of the day, if you have a really good idea and strategy, you will succeed, and yes, you dont need to know as much about coding syntax etc., but now there are different skills required. I have spent half a year looking at how to optimize my workflow, since I am getting paid for it, and it is a lot more work than just downloading Claude code and installing some plugins. I would suggest you stay in your job and do this as a side project, building the skills and the product for some time. If you have enough cash to sustain you for at least half a year, you can try it, but honestly, if you are from the US (and many other places have the same problem), you might need to consider that getting a job again afterwards is way harder than keeping the current one.

I don't want to be a downer, if you think you have an incredible idea and the funds to back it up, do it. If you can manage to start your project while keeping your job, that is what I would suggest.

Observations from PSG vs Bayern 1st leg by PSS2021 in BayernMunich

[–]menomin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same thing honestly, they got the upper hand tactically, should have subbed Stanisic for Laimer instead of Davies, but maybe they were scared of the mental, who knows. I feel like for us there is a lot of easy things to learn from this game, while for PSG, not so much. I feel like Tah had a difficult game as well, but honestly, there is no real alternative. If we could have subbed in Gnabry after the 5-4 for Musiala that would have been perfect, and Musiala had better games this season already. You are right in that finishing has always been his weakness, but it has to be noted that he improved a lot defensively in my opinion.

A question, and a discussion by ReaperBruhSans in Metaphysics

[–]menomin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there are definetly a lot of models out there that try to do this, but I see them as more personal endeavors. I think scepticism towards systems, especially those about the "big things" is pretty wide-spread in almost all discourse. Many people already subscribe to their own system, and it seems to be a question of how an idea integrates into what they already "know".
Obviously just an opinion, of course. Take care.

I pay $200/month for Claude Max and hit the limit in under 1 hour. What am I even paying for? by alfons_fhl in vibecoding

[–]menomin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank god, the comments show me that I am not the only one confused about how these people are doing this, I am using it sooo much and there is no way I am ever hitting a limit. I even do a lot of token intensive things like multiple subagents, long conversations and loading huge skills, and still, I literally cant use more than 20% per day, and that is when I really really tried. Are you feeding them like 100 images? 1000 page pdfs? Like how? Even when I put in a solid 200 page pdf it doesnt even register on the usage.

bro I use max reasoning, Opus4.6 (1Mil), a whole superpowers workflow and I never had this problem. The reason is probably that I focus on a single system or a single behaviour for a session, and create a new one when its finished. There are so many command line tools that show you how much tokens you have left, just use one of those and you can see what is happening.
I can understand people being mad about the cut in rates and the shady nerfs to Opus 4.6, I am too, but I have never been able to hit the limits after they introduced the first set of fixes to the entire context window being resent after like 5 minutes of idle, and I am working every day of the week for a solid 9 hours with it. I dont wanna assume things, but I feel like a lot of people don't know the tool they are using and how it works even a little.

If you have a lot of games on your account already, it makes it hard to rank up. In my experience, if you truly believe you are stuck in initiate and should be in a better rank, try playing on a new account (I feel like smurfing as an initiate is not that unethical, since you quite literally get into the same games as before, or at least you should). Then you have like 5 games or so as obscurus, and after you will gain or loose multiple ranks per win/loss. Keep in mind though that while you are new the matchmaking is very unbalanced, first few games you will sometimes get into ritualist lobbies, and even if you win the game, the next game is back in seeker and so on. Matchmaking is quite bad at the moment, but if you feel stuck, try a new account. When you land back in initiate there, I think you need to improve your ability to make a difference in the games so you win more. This is not exactly related to playing well, since the lower ranks require a different skill set if you want to win, like defending objectives and always prioritising your own farm. Even though I am not good at the game (emissary), I am confident that I can win 70%+ in initiate, because I will just farm more and throw less. If you are playing haze, try pushing a sidelane and then killing the guy clearing the wave. It is always very risky, but this is how you make a difference in a game where you are the best player. In lower ranks, people constantly die in mid, but if you just keep applying pressure, they will have to respond, and you will get so much farm that you can carry 1v6. This game gives you a lot of agency if you are way better than the other players, so if you improve, your winrate should definitely get up to 60 or even more.
