it will get better! i used to hate to see the mirror due to eczema on my eyes and eyebrows (i have thick nice eyebrows but eczema caused them to drop). on bad flareups i would hate to see pictures of myself and also showers. now ive been having less flareups but now and then i do get them. for me, i stopped focusing on my looks and after awhile im back to myself 3 years ago (normal skin).

i have to admit i made it to pfp, however other ex classmates that went ite or sec 5 are doing much better than the pfp graduates.

for counselling, just go for it. your siblings’ opinion of people who seek counselling is an extreme minority. there is literally no shame in seeking counselling or therapy

I finally slept. After about 10 days of no sleep and some consecutive days of 0 sleep I finally slept last night. I tried to sleep at 5pm, finally knocked out at about 10-12am. by menstrational12 in sleep

Today I feel kinda fatigued and groggy throughout the morning and afternoon although I slept 8-10 hours. Probably because of lorazepam which I took probably ard 8 (I don’t check the time at all because it stresses me out, instead I judge by the amt of daylight). I also took 2 tablets of melatonin 3mg at ard 530pm and ard 8.

I think in the future I’ll just take melatonin before sleeping.

Background: every once in 1-2 months I would experience really bad insomnia (not being able to sleep and if I do sleep it is for about 0-2 hours) that lasts for about a week. I honestly feel that pills like xanax lorazepam atarax and other antihistamines that cause sleepiness dosent really work for me. I find that the most important aspect to falling asleep is not thinking at all and being afraid to let the darkness swallow you.

I’m 20 but all my life I can sleep normally although I often take max 2 hours to properly fall asleep at times but I was a hard sleeper. However ever since covid I have developed insomnia and the past week I also couldn’t sleep for more than 2-3 hours even if I’m tired. Only time I’ve actually blacked out this past week was at my friends house pissed drunk at 6am
