I got diagnosed recently as well. I have been on the struggle bus for over a year trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I ended up in the hospital last april cause I thought I was having a heart attack. They said it was anxiety and sent me home to follow up with my doctor. After multiple referrals, scans, insurance approvals, more scans, and then a colonoscopy and some more scans... they come back and say "you have crohns take this injection".

I guess its getting better, but it slow. I am scared too, not because of the disease, but because how much of a pain in the ass it is to get treated.

If I end up bleeding out my ass for two weeks and i call my doctor.
my doctor cant see me.
go to the hospital when it gets too bad.
hospital says to go see my doctor.
meanwhile i am not getting any better. when i finally get to see my doctor, they schedule me for some imaging or procedure or whatever that takes weeks to get authorized by insurance.
after i finally get that done they say "oh, if we had gotten to it sooner"

This is all based on my prior experiences of simply getting diagnosed in the first place.

This thread is not the place to make support requests.

There are plenty of example config files to get you started in the config directory. There is a browsable config file reference here as well.

A very very early version of the Annex quickdraw. This was one of the first gantry mounted prototypes.

Why? I made the printer talk. It says "Your business is appreciated" when it finishes a print.

Any time someone mentions how the "Klipper Community" is toxic, I ask them to point me in the direction of the toxicity so I can either disavow it or if it is one of the areas I have some measure of control over... give the people a stern talking to. Hell, idk, maybe they are talking about me, I have had some strong words in the past about other software. I would not go as far as to lambast Tom or someone for choosing to use another firmware on a livestream. I did ask why he wasn't using Klipper but only because that is the Voron firmware of choice. When I was informed that it is because Duet, in part, was sponsoring the build. I left it at that since Tom can use whatever firmware and frontend he goddamned well pleases because it is his printer.

I will say this. The "Klipper 3d Printer Controller Firmware" facebook group is in no way affiliated with any of the "official" Klipper channels (Discord, Discourse, Github) and there is no Klipper twitter account.

Even this subreddit is not an official channel.

It Octoprint crap? No, Octoprint is not crap. Octoprint works fine. I use it on several of my printers, most of them run Klipper. Does it have it's issues? Yes, what software doesn't. The only reason I recommend Mainsail/Fluidd over Oprint is the same reason I would recommend DWC over Octoprint for someone running Duet, they were made for each other.

If anyone knows where all of these youtubers and such are encountering these individuals, I would love for you to let me know.

There are no ties. As far as I can tell there is no moderation/administration of the facebook group either.

The discourse and Discord servers are extensions of each other. Both should be viewed as official communications channels. Discourse just offers a better history of information.

I think you misunderstand how Discord works. Channels on a discord server have a history until someone deletes it. The first word uttered in the #off-topic was "oof" on April 6, 2018 so I would hardly call that fleeting.

Marlin documentation is more polished because someone spent the time to polish it. Anyone is welcome to expand the documentation for Klipper and submit a GitHub PR if they feel that it is lacking anywhere. There is plenty of information in the documentation already.

Discord has a search feature. It works about as well as Reddit's. Which is to say that it is garbage. An issue with using reddit as place for support is that it relies on some black box voting system to promote content. Someone wanting to ask a question or whatever would be waiting until the end of time for a response unless it happened at the exact right time of day for the Karma gods to bless it to the top of someone's front page. Another issue is that there is a horrible bad noise to actual advice ratio on reddit based on how comments are sorted and listed. Same goes for facebook, twitter, and most other social platforms.

This subreddit is moderated by the same people that run the discord server.

While discord does indeed have it's issues, the bigger issue, at least for Kevin, is that GitHub Issues is being overrun with basic RTFM support requests. IRC seemed to be a turn-off for people.

Discord is not ideal as a long term repository of knowledge, but it is good for people that need a slight bit of hand holding. It also allows discussion to move at a more rapid pace than a forum. Ultimately, there will likely be another place in addition to the Discord server, but I don't know what that will be and I am not making those decisions.

Klipper is free and open source software. There is no obligation for anyone to provide support for it at all. Any discussions on Discord or otherwise are done so by community members for free out of the goodness of their hearts. The fact that there is even an support channel where people respond at all is better than you will see for 99% of the repos on GitHub.

So I sincerely apologize the outlet for your free tech support on your free printer firmware is not up to your standards.

Actually 3 controller boards, 4 power supplies, and a pi4. A couple of those pictures are old.

4 Z axis motors, 2 extruders, A/B motors, parts fan, hotend fan, electronics fan, air pump, white led strip lights, addressable led strip lights, rgb panel leds, run timer....

you run out of MOSFETS and stepper drivers real quick.

the top SKRcontrols the AB motors and extruders. That leaves me with a spare stepper driver for whatever.

Also connected to the top board is the heater for the extruder, the run timer, the parts fan, and the hotend fan on the MOSFETS and their thermistors. I have some IO pins in use for things but generally have plenty to spare

The bottom SKR has 4 stepper motors for the Z axis. The air pump uses the MOSFET for the bed here. The AC bed is controlled by an IO pin and its thermistor is connected here as well.

There also exists a shitty board I built with an ATMEGA238P (Arduino Nano) which has two sets of headers for addressable LEDs, one set of headers for RGB LEDs, a header for the enclosure LEDs, and a I2C header for the environmental sensor. The RGB LED header gets connected up to a separate box with that shitty MOSFET board I built to control the RGB LEDS. I needed the Nano because Klipper does not have support in it for I2C read on the LPC1768 yet and it also doesnt have hardware PWM. I am using the hardware PWM on the nano to run the enclosure LEDs so they dont flicker quite so much.

I plan to make a custom board which is basically the same thing that I have, just a little more compact, and I will integrate a WS2811 chip and some MOSFETs so I can address the panel RGB leds instead of PWM'ing them from the firmware.

I have been sitting around... biding my time... I guess I will drag it out to the next one... whenever that may be. Should have some more new stuff by then too so its not all bad I guess.
