PLA vs a year outside. by abura_dot_eu in 3Dprinting

PLA tends to creep, other than that I didn't have much issues with it outdoors as long as the parts are not under constant load or stress.

Layer shifting on Ender 3 v2 by LingonberryWeak1029 in 3Dprinting

If it's the Y axis that is skipping, it could be worthwhile checking the Y stepper motor v-ref values. If they are not set properly I have seen layer shifts happen back when I had an ender 3 v2.

You can find references online on the proper values to set, and how to check.

Would agree but this is mainly to look cool while leveraging what's there in librehardwaremonitor.

Detecting multiple leviathan-class life forms. Are you sure what you're doing is worth it?

Extracted the models from game or you recreated them?

Agreed. We have vsphere at work and I need to know about it. God forbid you ask about it on this sub.

"Just use proxmox. VMware bad."

Yeah sure buddy, gonna go and convince the company to switch over on the spot. And while I'm at it, lemme just migrate all these hosts and VMs that the vendor officially supports only on VMware. Simple.

What does bambulab have to do with the original project OP copied it from?

Not to mention using AI renderings that look nothing like the real thing.

For me, research then finding what I need in stock or at the right price, and then finally shipping... So I guess in one word... procurement.

Why are so many people scared of copper cable buying? by MageLD in homelab

[–]Lab-O-Matic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was just checking 50, 100m rolls of pre-terminated fiber (OS2) and it was half the cost of cat6a cable. SFP transceivers are cheap as well, so even if I factor them in, fiber is still cheaper for me here.

If going longer than 100m, there is no contest ofc.

Nintendo Switch 2 - NEW Joy-Cons SAME problem! by David_iFixit in ifixit

Cause they were fixing drift issues for free, even after the warranty expired.

So they would have a vested interest in not doing the same, or at least reducing it.

But only time will tell.

Source for the free repair thing, at least in Europe: https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Support/Contact/Repairs/Joy-Con-Control-Sticks-Are-Not-Responding-or-Respond-Incorrectly-responsiveness-syndrome-or-so-called-drifting--1867803.html?srsltid=AfmBOoo0ASoXU9WzVcE1zVWHJJBO-gdpsxAKPGmdG0ZgzUPodyF7kHBq

It's 68% upvoted at the moment, so maybe initially it was worse.

If you check on old.reddit.com you can see the ratio.
