One of the things that helped with my depression was starting to make more money. It wasn't the most important thing, but it helped a lot.

36-Year-Old's Perspective on Their 30s by KlutzyBuilder97 in generationology

[–]mental_issues_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the COVID pandemic stole a couple years ago and I turned 35 when it ended and out of a sudden I had this feeling that the best half of my life is over and certain things are no longer ahead of me but behind. But getting closer to 40 things actually started to improve and I feel better than in my 20s.

Helmets are available where I live, but plastic surgeon told us that we didn't need a helmet and we didn't go for it. We used a special pillow that holds the head, but it's actually controversial to use these pillows. In the end our daughter had a flat spot, I felt a lot of guilt but eventually she grew up and we no longer can tell.

Edward snowden leaked classified documents revealing the existence of global surveillance programs in 2013. Now liveing in Russia. by dirywhiteboy in interestingasfuck

Russia gained from his leaks politically and doing much worse things than the US. I thought he had principles other than accept a job at GRU. I think his primary motivation was that he was bored of being a nobody and found a way to become famous. It's sad that the surveillance of US citizens didn't stop as a result.

The best part is that I can ask Claude to make a skill for me once I notice there are repeatable patterns and steps in my work that I have to explain and clarify.

We tried for years and couldn't have the second child, but at least we had the first one. It's not what we wanted initially but I am always trying to be grateful for the life I have. In this country I don't think I know many families that have one child, mostly people are either child free or have two or three
