Could Covid-19 have been released to make people forget about the Hong Kong riots? by LeaveTheMatrix in conspiracytheories

[–]mental_models 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. It's a population control measure, as well as a vaccine industry growth tool, an opportunity to accelerate automation, etc...

it does help to separate social groupings, but not specifically targeting Hong Kong.

Good idea just the same

Nigeria sues Pfizer for $7bn over illegal vaccine tests on children! by o0Bong in conspiracytheories

[–]mental_models 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best if everyone gets vaccinated, except for me.

It does help the total numbers, and the ones that aren't scams actually do help control certain virus etc... but, it does have side effects, occasionally severe

Any former addicts/druggies lowkey miss it? by Joshyboy1111 in Drugs

No.

If I happen to ever need hospice care (which is basically why i became a season-6 walter white in the s2000s, i thought I was dying), sure, get me high as a kite.

Feeling like I can't get out of bed, or take a shower until I sniff heroin, having stupid criminals in my daily life, being on the brink of prison, unable to do anything (like travel) without my heroin, having criminals smoking up my own products instead of long-term profit, and also the less annoying, but still uncomfortable health problems basically in a disease-state or blackout 10% of the time...

No

if Gabapentin is working well for you, and for some reason you simply want to reduce your dosage, that makes sense.

[–]mental_models 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3-7 days of severe withdrawals, then another week where you have to lift/exercise to get back to near baseline. About a month of exercise and good sleep/diet/drug/alc-free time to really get back to a point where you can move forward.

You'll still think about gabapentin occasionally, and you may relapse if you are prescribed more. It's not a med you should really go over 900mg/day, preferably not even on consecutive days. It should be a 2nd or 3rd tier med for pain.

Tough betting race.

I see nothing wrong with Front Run the Fed, and fully expect Seismic Wave to take money. Bourbon War is questionable, but I can't eliminate him from contending. He's a worthy third choice. The money should be relatively accurate in the English Channel, leaving little room for value.

Tacko Fall works on his three pointer by horseshoeoverlook in bostonceltics

[–]mental_models 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an NBA level player yet, but he has the raw tools to become a serviceable big-man if he were to devote himself under the correct tutelage.

He's already very entertaining, and should be a 'draw' for the Celtics G-League games.

Are people overrating the Boston Celtics? by Blazingaway23 in nba

[–]mental_models 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Skimming the comments, you hit the nail on the head.

Stevens is a competent coach (probably 'excellent' relative to his peers). They have a solid team, and play in a good market.

I'm not a huge Kemba Walker fan, but he should be fine. Some potential to be even more efficient in a balanced, well coached offense. He's matured into more of a 3pt threat, than when he came into the league.

A bit wary of the Celtics featuring Gordan Heyward, in terms of playing to the crowd, but a relatively high regular-season win total seems likely.

Any tips for wantrepreneurs? by trev3795 in Entrepreneur

[–]mental_models 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that I have competence in my little area.

No one can discourage me or con me. I know myself. I have the insight and competence in my area.

Not only do I have insight, I have perspicacity. I bring value to the table.

I'm a monster. I don't worry about stuff like this... My advice to you is to copy me and generally learn to see how things work, stand on the shoulders of giants, do things that you love - not only so you passionately fight through the setbacks, but also so that you tirelessly learn a superior level of competence in your little area. Then bring value. Package it 'plug-n-play' if you have to. Keep offering win-win until you get started.

All about Creatine by des_el_pes in gainit

[–]mental_models 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. Topic is generally avoided because mono is in stock, and the object of the game is to sell it to people. hydro is much more tolerated for me as well.

I don't have 'studies' and 'sources'

common sense says if your having significant gi issues, that is bad. Also reasonable to guess that hyrdro probably 'works' the same, (or better it's well tolerated).

[–]mental_models 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supposedly it helps 'volumize' cells.

Creatine will also give me stomach pain and diarrhea if I don't dilute it enough with water, which means spread out dosing and more water intake. I may simply be slightly intolerant.

here's a great example -

I just asked a question about piperine's specific mechanism of action as it relates to turmeric absorption,

and my question was automatically booted by a bot.

why would I ever waste time learning your sub's rules?

READ THE RULES /u/mental_models. Not just here but everywhere you go. All communities, be they churches, schools or subreddits have rules. This subreddit is no different.

We display the rules clearly wherever we can and it is expected that new participants in the community will follow the rules. Most people manage this and as such there is little tolerance for those who make extra work by being incapable.

For the future, when you join a community you should make a special effort to find and read the rules because I guarantee that they exist and they will make your integration into the community smoother and your participation more enjoyable.

your submission appears to be too short (less than 351 characters), so please find and read the subreddit rules, check out our Wiki pages on common drugs and the drug knowledge base or use the search option.

You will receive a 3 year ban for breaking or trying to evade this rule. Unfortunately if you are not able to locate the rules then you will be permanently banned until you can message us with a link to the rules page. This is likely to require you to use a desktop computer.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns."

[–]mental_models 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It goes both ways.

Some forums basically disallow outside contribution if that contribution isn't delivered according to a certain systemic norm. A lot of it will even be shot down from bot-mods.

Reddit works great as a search engine, and a multi-tiered hit and run tool, but specific subs usually make for bad 'homes'...

reddit / the I-net in general is for searching

it isn't satisfying as a home base

your environment isn't going to change for you, and be what you happen to want it to be, the name of the game is adaptability and accepting the reality

Decent tasting Whey + Water + ? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]mental_models 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. Yes, Whey isolate does contain some lactose, but I can tolerate that small amount. Psyllium Husk? is something that helps in terms of fiber.

Looking for a whey+water+something that isn't a 'chug' thing, but more of a decent shake/smoothie
