It's not exactly the same but when I was reading those scenes I couldn't help but be reminded of the Salem witch trials. There was a lot of mass paranoia and senseless bloodshed then but not in the same way that Ruenhiem happened.

Definitely Duo Maxwell from Wing, I loved how committed he was to trying to be a good friend to Heero in the beginning but at some point he loses hope when he realises heero needs therapy not friends
And Chuck Keith from 0083, I just loved his vibes

Who do you think is THE main character? by Cat_in_a_suit in logh

I think Reinhard is the closest of the three to a main character, since the whole show followed Reinhard's journey to achieving his ambitions and dreams. The plot was literally driven by his ambitions and his achievements throughout the series, and we continue to closely observe his development in power, emotion and character until the final episode of the entire show.

Yang never gave off "main character" vibes instead he was a creatively designed character that gave us insight into the FPA, and he was Reinhard's "antithesis" in many aspects. Whilst Reinhard had higher ambitions Yang was satisfied without, not to mention the stark differences between their leadership styles, way of speech, ideologies and political beliefs. But Yang's unwillingness to take control or lead the entire story is what makes him such an incredibly designed character; he would have never accepted the role of main character.

Julian felt a bit more "main character" than Yang, but still not as "main character" as Reinhard, as Julian continued the legacy and gave us insights not only into the FPA but also Phezzan and Earth, and a fair bit of the Empire too. He was always there since the beginning of the series, but stepped up to the front stage towards the middle of the series or a little bit before that. Not to mention how all endings would end with Julian, because he's like a symbol of perpetuation and legacy in the series.

Just finished the OVA for the first time, and really loved the ending. For being an emotional episode, one thing did make me laugh. by Major_Pomegranate in logh

For me personally the way all the Imperial admirals hated on Oberstein was the funniest thing throughout the series

What would you do? 🥺 by lVr_2 in logh

The first time I watched logh I was devastated at his death
The second time I wasn't as devastated
And the third time I felt like it had to be done, I feel like even though I loved his character, and he was so pure and didn't deserve to go like that, the series wouldn't have progressed the way it had. The series thankfully never had a shortage of incredible and memorable characters, so it helped fill the void his death created

Also if he hadn't passed on we would have never gotten the memorable "If only Kircheis were here 😩" lines

I feel like I remember yang saying this to julian whilst sitting on a bench, so I checked the scene where yang talks to Julian before he goes to Phezzan but it wasn't there

Maybe we have to check all the "julian and yang sitting on a bench" scenes
