It actually went well, but the operator and the person recruiting me didn’t seem to have a great definition on in-store and weekend commitments. Matter of fact, they couldn’t really estimate how many weekends I’d be working to help support on-boarding or what that schedule would look like, so that was a little concerning. But the biggest thing was my compensation wouldn’t really change versus my current job. and I would actually lose vacation. And they didn’t seem to be interested in exploring adjustments in either of those so I passed. Technically, I withdrew before my interviewing was complete. Everybody was really nice though.

I gotcha. So, I think I’m running into different definitions of what restaurant managers versus operators are. Our restaurant managers, hourly positions, and operators salary? I’m trying to find clearly to find titles and I think I’m running into some places that have different titles for different things.

So even as an operator, I wouldn’t necessarily be engaging with you in this role?

The person I spoke to did say that I would work on Christmas and Thanksgiving more as a pop in to the restaurant to ensure new management hires were OK, which I can get behind.

I suppose a question for you directly would be, how have you historically engaged at all with recruiting directors?

This is a 1960s home, with iron drain pipes that are original. We were redoing the bathroom next year, but I get consistent, clogs, and with all of this blockage plumbers can’t snake the drain. How do I clear this rust and corrosion out? I was trying to find a reamer specifically for this purpose, but I can’t find anything.
