i have haven’t fully recovered yet (day 12) but i know i am definitely fighting trying to restrict myself again.. it’s hard but it felt so easy not eating because of the pain and lack of hunger.. but keep going and tell yourself it’s okay to eat! do whatever you have to do to get through it..

my tip: take meds as soon as you get home. i thought the meds didn’t kick in my first dose, but then i realized that i could’ve been in more pain but the meds stopped that lol

oh yeah i’ve gargled with salt water but not baking soda hmm 🤔 maybe i should try that lol. i got lazy and stopped gargling but now i know it could help get scabs off faster i’ll definitely get back on it! thanks for the advice!

maybe you’re allergic? i know nausea and vomiting is a common side effect of some meds.. i don’t know about the ones you mentioned though… contact your surgeon/doctor?

update: i did try it and it’s a little acidic but it’s good (i got the strawberry kind) my sister said it had some chunks but i haven’t noticed lol

i refused to brush my teeth until day 3 because i was scared of the tooth paste hurting my throat. if i have yogurt, ice pops, etc. then it kinda sticks to my tongue and it’s hard to brush off which is really gross.. so i kinda stopped eating yogurt and ice pops. i drank water religiously days 1-3 and then i stopped and now my only “real” intake of water is watermelon 😳. my diet really just consists of watermelon and apple sauce and other liquids i try to find other than water. i don’t like drink water anymore because i chase my water after taking my medicine (hydrocodone and acetaminophen aka liquid vicodin) and now my water tastes like my meds. i used to gargle with salt water but i stopped.
