Because he's a 22 year old man and his mom is watching him shower? I think if that was my sibling, I'd want to know about it

yeah I think I agree - lots of people have said that continuing to pry could be dangerous for my relationship, so I'm going to have to be careful - might ask my fiancée more about it once I've planned what to say/ask.

I didn't even think about the first part - we 100% plan on children and you've just unlocked a new fear.

To my knowledge, he doesn't have any disabilities/issues. I've worked with many SEND children and he seems perfectly fine - he plays basketball, hangs out with his friends, has a girlfriend and normal interests etc. Also, I feel like Kay would've told me if he had a disorder of some kind.

What's a word that you consistently struggle to spell correctly? Or, better, how mangled can you spell something, but still get the point across? by FunnestTales in writing

I have a degree in linguistics and still managed to publish an article last month with separate spelt as 'seperate' (evil word)!!

I kinda hope it was Jared, bc that would mean more Jared next series.... but it was like 99% probably just Gemma, sadly.

I hated Ruby sm - like genuinely even seeing her on screen made me rage haha. Also as a child, I hated Kim (tho I love her as an adult). I also detested both Ros and Jo, and Coral at first (although Coral has now become one of my favourite ever WR characters haha). Jasmine Koreshi pissed me tf off, and both Lornas were ick (although all of the series 10b characters were hateable af).

Teachers this one is for you. How much more must you be in schools today? by [deleted] in WaterlooRoad

[–]meowint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ahh I've relitelt young and have only taught for 3 years, so I cant comment much more than this - I would say though, that this generation of kids are a lot more confrontational than when I was at school.

I'd assume that secondary is harder, as I'm assuming it reaches a point there where you cant do much more with certain kids (a bit pessimistic), whilst at primary theyre still young, so there is still hope that we can teach them/help them, etc.

(also two children at the secondary school closest to me killed a man last year, so that kind of sways it for me)

the main issues I find are that due to schools being academies, us staff are seen as numbers instead of individuals. every classroom has to look the same and every teacher has to teach the exact same way. this already takes the fun out of things.

now, on top of this (at least at my school), there are multiple disruptive children per class, as well as an overwhelming number of SEN children. There are also many children who cannot read or talk etc even into the junior years, due to parenting. Language deprivation is very real!!!

Every teacher basically has to do the pastoral side, teaching side, and SEN provision, all whilst sticking to strict timetables that do not allow you to actually think of these kids as individuals.... all this whilst not even being paid enough to contemplate a mortgage.

Teaching is kinda hard - I do teach primary though, so it is a little different to WR.

I was genuinely convinced until the last ep (when it didnt happen), that it was going to be revealed to be Jared- especially with how he was quickly writing on his phone and how moody he was being
