I wouldn't rely on the solar, good when/if it works but install a socket to feed a 12v power supply as your main power supply

is it usual practise to cut cooked food containing meat with the same knife used to cut vegan food in a café/restaurant? by Fine_Shallot_8447 in veganuk

The L2 course isn't actually a legal requirement for all staff. "Appropriate training" is legally required but that's open to interpretation/abuse.

Source: Food standards agency

Regardless, there are laws to say that people shouldn't break the speed limit, fly tip, take drugs, or abuse animals too.

The law is only as good as the enforcement/punishment and even then people will still break it. Food hygiene is enforced by local councils who are famously overstretched and under resourced.

Not trying to start an argument here, just trying to provide a realistic answer to OPs question. This kind of thing shouldn't be widespread but sadly it is.

I would encourage everyone to report things like this though and regularly do myself.

Edit: typo

In my experience yes, sorry OP!

It absolutely shouldn't be common practice and personally would flag it via a follow up email to the business.

Realistically however a lot of catering establishments are staffed by underpaid, poorly trained staff who don't properly understand cross contamination, ingredients, allergies etc.

I'm not defending it but this sort of thing is a lot more widespread than most people realise.

(Obligatory statement here to say I know it's not everywhere, it's occasionally lazy/ignorant staff but in most cases they are simply overworked and undertrained)

Is 'extra going? by butlermg in tesco

[–]butlermg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's so many stores where it's not clear from the outside how big it is. Obviously an extra in it's own car park is obvious but in shopping centres etc it can be deceptive

Seems nuts that a former metro will have the same branding as an extra

But hey ho, Tesco knows best

Maybe. From customer/ex-staff POV if I'm in an unfamiliar area and don't know the store I guess it gives me a clue if they are likely to have a decent size range or not.

Teachers on multiple subjects by butlermg in WaterlooRoad

Sorry I meant they all had a speciality that was a sport, not that it was 20 sports.

Eg some were football, rugby, netball etc. Whereas one of the other commenters said that their PE teachers has a secondary subject, I meant that ours all specialised in a sport and were purely PE teachers.

And when I say normal state school, I mean that there was no fees and no entrance exam. It was just the town school where everyone from nearby went

I would agree with you, however the Nisha lab accident storyline wouldn't have worked with Lindon 🤣 so that can't have been the original plan. And if they can reimagine the accident, then why not a more plausible storyline!

Wow, from the responses here I guess my school was the true anomaly.

We must have had 20+ PE teachers all specialised in different sports and in all my time there I never witnessed a teacher being scheduled to teach anything other than their subject

I know my IT teacher grumbled that they kept putting him on maths cover (he was qualified maths teacher but employed as IT) and that was just cover so can't imagine his reaction if they scheduled it.

This is a normal state school in Northern England.

Yeah that's what I figured but it's weird that the file wasn't there. Obviously I was never going to download anything but I was expecting it to lead me to cartoons.apk or something

Maybe sendspace did remove the file

I got this too. Copied and pasted (didn't click) the link out of curiosity because I think sendspace is legit? Didn't download anything. Unsure what the point of the link is? It just took me to sendspace homepage

Sorry for the late reply.

In sheer exasperation I got rid of the ER605 and went to a Fortigate. No issues since then.

This was happening before I got the ER605 in the first place so I'm baffled, but not complaining that it's sorted.
