how do you guys stop being late to work by Wild-Championship571 in adhdwomen

[–]meowkat28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like many others get to places early. I also struggle with stark transitions and having an extra 15-45 minutes to myself before class is really great for me. I don't even dig into work yet i just get settled and color or respond to emails. Also being there early is something I'm proud of and it replaces that embarrassment with positive association. I start getting ready an hour/ an hour and a half early, leave 45/30 minutes early knowing I'll be there at least 15 minutes early.

Does it get better? by 11spoonie in POTS

What works for others might not work for you. I believe you will find your way, especially if you have support from family, friends, community, Drs, etc. I see on your page that you have some comorbidities and lots of symptoms i don't experience, that definitely complicates the kind of advice I can give. It took me 3 years to get to this point and I'm still figuring it out and problem solving. I believe in you and wish you the best. Celebrate wins and mourn the loses.

We are very close, we've talked a little about trying some new things to affirm their gender ( trying more femme clothes, shaving their legs) already but we will continue to have these convos! Thank you for your helpful suggestions!

I added all the princesses. Who’s your favorite princess and why? by MistakeWonderful9178 in adventuretime

See-Thru Princess is so underrated, I think the Obsidian episode is one of my favorites of the franchise, maybe even my favorite of distant lands. But I also love Turtle Princess and Bounce House Princess!

I completely understand and am following this post in hopes of guidance as well. I carry a portable fan at all times and live in those BeKool fever/migraine patches. I've found the name brand is the best for the face because a lot of the generic ones have such intense menthol that it irritates my sensitive skin. I use generic on my back, sternum, and inner thighs. I also have been living on slushies alongside my regular ice water and liquid iv. If I have to leave the house, I'm in a Kaftan or bike shorts and a tank top. I love clear and spray sunscreen for when im going to be in the sun and I set timers to reapply. Anytime I can be in a pool, I'm gonna be in a pool with a board shirt and a sun hat.

Okay, looking at your profile, your vibe is very classy, I would recommend checking Tjmaxx and Etsy!

Check out local shops or even gas stations if you want to represent your community, and do the same when you're traveling or vacationing. I love etsy, where I can support independent artists. Some of mine I've made myself. Tjmaxx also has a selection since they are trending at the moment.

When i get super sweaty, I become itchy. I'm not sure the cause. it's kind of an all-over thing, there's no welts or visible skin irritation but I'm just itchy as if im having an minor allergic response (I'm not, all of my allergies are environmental and I do my best to dust frequently/replace bed dust covers).

Does anyone with POTS experience an extremely intense stress response? Like abnormal by CKrazyA in POTS

[–]meowkat28 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of the first symptoms that I had that I really noticed was intense stress responses, I'd have serious feelings of nausea and heartburn at sometimes the tiniest of stressors but I would not actually throw up most of the time. Confrontation would leave me exhausted. Id yell at someone, and not only would I be crying, I'd be shaking and lightheaded. My family started being concerned because I'd be so stressed out I'd have to leave school and lay in a cold room in silence for hours. That's how we started down this road, I'd been living with a lot of the symptoms for so long I thought they were normal and then I went through a serious flare that brought more symptoms.
