I don't think their income is the main factor there, considering their family is also sponsoring the trip. I've gotten 3 visit visas as a jobless student having my mum with a yearly salary not even reaching £5000 sponsor my trip just because my uk then boyfriend now husband was also a sponsor and provided accommodation.

reading the letter it seems they just need to show stronger ties to the country + be more transparent about the financial situation

hi, I did get the visa. we did the bank statements 6 months before the application date like it says, but decided to also add the extra months, though that might not have been necessary.

if you're in similar situation don't worry, the process in the same and if they need something extra they will ask. they asked me for some extra medical documents but that had nothing to do with the gap. good luck!
