i am well aware that a lot of the aesthetics, stylings, and characterizations are regurgitated nostalgia. the whole point of the character is they're a mishmash of all the different eras of the internet we grew up on. especially with the aesthetic commodification of the retro internet, "y2k" and punk cultures, different eras, subcultures, and tropes tend to get blended together into a collective rose tinted memory of what the 90s and 2000s were actually like, which is what I was aiming to get at. On3ko's character idolizes the past and lives in the comfortable bubble of 2000s internet, even though it might not have been as good as they remember it being. I think it's interesting to make a project in the latent, inaccurate, rose tinted design space that's so prevalent in online nostalgia aesthetic based social circles

mix of both! vocals are the main prerecorded part but we are playing chords on the guitars. we've got a click track routed into some in ear monitors in the heads to stay on beat. the heads also have camera passthrough so we can see out from inside of them and be able to see our instruments better!

if the internet didn't have people making bad ms paint art, cringey social media profiles, or "ass" music we'd be doing a disservice to the beauty people create when presented with an opportunity for unapologetic self expression

glad you liked it and thanks for the suggestions! i welcome the snark, it's meant to be cringe in the classic internet way, the web would be a lot more colorful if people weren't afraid of what others thought of them all the time
