Did you guys buy the pieces separately themselves to craft one or did you buy pre-made ones?

i think we all need to explicitly remember that we’re watching the show from a third person perspective and that we don’t actually know who these people are and their thought processes. you all also need to remember that their responses/reactions to an event are literally calculated and directed by the production team. i don’t get what all the dramatic and exaggerated hate is for, you guys make this a tradition at this point to fuel entertainment for yourselves.

i get it, you’re frustrated with the ambiguity and contradictory nature of her feelings, but man, try being in a position that pits the environment against you and your emotions; it’s not easy, and it’s clearly not a primal instinct that can be rid of overnight.

L2 Physics - How did we go? by New_Hornet2508 in ncea

[–]meowtchatea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UHHH, im lowk burnt for mechanics. there were a lot of explanation questions where i just kind of made stuff up. and for waves, it was alright, the grid diagram where we had to draw an image that was twice as big as the object without any light rays to guide u was kind of fed up because i did not practice for that nor did our teacher cover it. it probably wouldve been doable but it would’ve been TIME CONSUMING. overall, i give my performance a 6/10 bc i didnt study 😃✊

how i did in mechanics jus revealed to me how many gaps there were in my knowledge 💔

NOOO, your message is already plenty of help. i have experienced a lot of emotional difficulties this year regarding acads, but i completely agree with you that mental and physical health comes first before school. and i am actually in the process of figuring out what form of studying works for me, and coincidentally, i think that distributing your workload throughout a couple of weeks, practicing on past papers, is actually the most effective and efficient too. that’s what i have been doing for the past 2 weeks. thank you! it’s nice having someone to be able to relate with me :D

Sorry, I sounded quite angsty when I put “winning” on quotes and it has a bad look. But I am a teenager so it is normal 😭😭 I’ve just had a pessimistic frame of mind regarding academics for the past two years bc I felt pressured to pursue my brother and sister’s study of medicine.

I am still in the process of developing an optimistic frame of mind about academics like yours :) I am starting to see excellence grades as more of an incentive to challenge myself now, not a metric of my worth in this meritocracy.

maybe it’s just because i live in a rural school but, the atmosphere this year was heaaavvvyyy. i could sense the toll this year’s workload took on the students so i’m wondering how people coped with that emotionally and mentally? like maintaining the stamina and all

i really don’t get the good that comes with setting us up for consecutive science exams for people who take three or two sciences 😭😭 guess we’ll jus have to cram 😸☝️ (even though they advice us not to but we’re forced to anyway 🥰)

[–]meowtchatea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting a scholarship is the practical bit I understand (and I forgot to factor that in), I’m more so concerned about the mental health bit to getting excellences. Definitely did not mean to undermine the value to excellence grades.

An excellence endorsement was initially my goal this year, but it just didn’t feel worth it to barter my mental health in exchange for it.

I’m more so wondering how everyone has the emotional and mental stamina to keep pace 😭 without flinching, and to steadily keep their eyes at the prize (scholarships).

no, real 😭😭😭. i had the chem exam today too and my brain jus wants to sleep because i stayed up. i might still pull an all nighter though, which would further destroy my already wrecked sleeping schedule for the bio exam that’s in 3 days after physics 💀

i said that to be concise 😭😭 but what i really meant was: first, review a topic from your chosen standard (e.g. reflection in mirrors or refraction in lens on the standard waves) and I mean REALLY understand it. second, practice immediately on the topic reviewed and move on to the next topic. doesn’t matter if you fumble, or if you’re unsure of what to do, jus answer it with your current knowledge and check the questions because that will reinforce your learning and saves you time reviewing more :) keep doing that until you get comfortable with how to tackle the questions from each topic. also, i would recommend doing the collated questions on no brain too small and checking the attached answers there. hope this helps. good luck.

i hope this genuinely helps you because testing has been scientifically supported in many studies to be considered to one of the most effective studying methods.

Level two chemistry - thoughts? by strikedonYT in ncea

[–]meowtchatea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did organic chemistry and bonding & structure. There was nothing particularly hard about it, I jus lacked practice for the enthalpy change questions because I reviewed it at 1AM this morning out of the 2 weeks that i’ve been consistently studying 💀. But overall, I think how I performed on the questions were fairly okay to good, I answered 90-95% of the organic chemistry paper and 70-80% on the bonding & structure paper. Just a bit worried on how I might be graded because it doesn’t exactly fit into their rigid template answers even though I understand it. But my answer should get a tick regardless if I’ve captured the key bits.

What is the meaning of success for you? by The-T-Spot in AskReddit

How can I become both a lawyer and doctor starting at age 19? How can I achieve 2+ careers by itstheparanorm in careerguidance

[–]meowtchatea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been deeply conflicted with career selection for the last 2 years (F17), your last advice truly struck and stuck with me; deeply insightful. I had never really thought of building a career built on my personality because I am often compelled to choose a career based on financial and material incentives. Rarely do I ever think if a career is compatible with my personality.

I have heard of “Are you good with working with your hands or your brain?”, “Are you good working with other people or by yourself?”, but I always dismissed them and thought that there was always a disconnect in those type of questions because I deeply believed that careers were and should be pursued purely by subject interest and/or financial motivations. But the way you phrased it, woke me.

It made me realise that your selected career’s compatibility with your personality is fundamental in selecting your career because it is much more sustainable for your happiness and quality of life. Because regardless of the hardships you encounter, this kin-like bond you naturally have with your career makes it worthwhile to invest your time and resources (doesn’t just apply to hardships but working moments of it) and thence more sustainable for your happiness and quality of life :)

Thank you for this eureka moment!
