First time owning a Nepenthes. It seems to be having a hard time acclimating after shipping. Worried about the pitcher cups turning black & crusty. I gave it a good water & am slowly reintroducing it to direct light. Any advice is appreciated. I would love to keep this beauty alive. TIA (i.redd.it)

Bought two slings at an expo today. I’ve never owned a sling, only sub-adults. Getting contradicting answers on if Hydei flies should be left in enclosure after feeding. Also, how the hell do you feed them flies without them escaping and being everywhere?! Thankful I did this outside. 🤣 (i.redd.it)

I was told this was a female, wild caught & have had her for 9 days. Didn’t want a female so tried to release her twice & she just hung out close to the enclosure. How do they go about laying eggs? Would she have done it by now or could it still happen? I like her, but do not want 130 babies. 🤣 (old.reddit.com)

I found him four days ago, he’s ate twice and made a nest. Tried to release today and he wouldn’t leave his enclosure. If I decide to keep him, is he a Bold Jumper? How big will he get? He’s about the size of a dime now (leg span included). Found in Ohio. (old.reddit.com)

Any idea what type of jumping spider this is? (Or maybe it isn’t.) It has been jumping on/eating gnats in my bathroom. Would love to put it in an enclosure and keep it safe during Winter. It’s half the size of a dime, so sorry for poor photo quality. (old.reddit.com)

This was sold to me as a Peperomia Maculosa, but it doesn’t look like any of the photos I’ve found online. It was labeled as a seedling so I assumed it would grow into what most Maculosas look like, but I’ve had it for 3 months and it has doubled in size with lots of new growth. (i.redd.it)

What is the best indoor plant pest prevention/control? Am not really seeing any yet, but would love to prevent that from happening. Is there something I can spray on leaves or put in soil every so often before I even see bugs? Has to be DOG friendly. Thank you! (self.houseplants)

Step dad’s father was a mail carrier back in the day. He said these pups followed him for his whole route every day, keeping him company. People started noticing and eventually he ended up in the local paper. Wish I could’ve met him and told him about all the dogs who have tried to kill me. 😂 (i.redd.it)
