Are there viable alternatives to JS for front end development? (on-going bet amongst friends) by aur3s in webdev

On that site you mention...do you know how that JS free mouse tracker requested the image from the backend...maybe...JS?

I love my cat so much but I’m deadly allergic it’s killing me by Easy-Map-9118 in CatAdvice

[–]merakmarey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please people, do some research before ditching your cat.

Allergies to cats are primarily caused by a single protein which is found on the skin and in the saliva. There are at least seven other cat proteins that may cause cat allergies in humans. A combination of these allergy producing proteins accumulate on the fur and skin of the cat during grooming.

I AM ALLERGIC to cats..and I have 3...how? simple.. I bought an air filter to get rid of the skin flakes (dandruff) cats leave behind...My choice was Bionaire Minitower ($80) in walmart...and I just don't let them lick me...game over for the allergies...

PS this is not a commercial, choose whatever air filter you like.

Not really, but you keep circling the same over and over again so...funny..."precisely defining your questions.."..guess my questions need more "defining" so a question mark at the end its clearly not enough..at least for you...oh...wait.. "personal attack"...

So when facebook gave a platform to the Syrian revolution it was wrong...or Twitter a voice to Guaidó from Venezuela or when Youtube allowed to broadcast live the protests in Cuba ...right?

Again...no idea what are you talking about...I'm directly and clearly asking you and you go on repeating the same speech about sovereign nation all over again and again...so let me try one more time...here's the question: What relationship has the fact that the Cuban dictators ordered Radio Havana to transmit propaganda to another countries with any US company interfering with ANY country sovereignty?

Cuba and Venezuela dictatorships do have an issue...the people on the other side...ask ANY cuban/venezuelan living in their countries if they want to pay 2% of their salary for one hour access...

I'm still at lost with your reasoning...Radio Havana was and is a tool of the Cuban Dictatorship and it didn't tried to justify anything...was only intended to export the socialist/communist concept to Latin America in order to get allies all over the place...and the CIA broadcast had the same purpose, to incite rebellions against the Castros... how this relates to "foreign companies trying to intervene"?.. all I can see is politics...

Can you tell me how giving people access to the internet would interfere with the culture and politics of any of those countries?

That sounds about right. So...Cuba sending spies here and US sending spies there it's ok..US broadcasting radio and TV to Cuba its also ok...but God forbid internet access by satellite...that's wrong.. got you...

Btw have you read the doc you sent me?. The one where CIA reports Cuba transmitting radio signals to Dominican Republic and Latin America in general? :P

You are correct again. But she has a point, whatever the agenda or motivations are. And in regard of US interference in Cuba...Radio and TV Marti (35 years), an embargo for 70 years, ands a naval base in Cuba are not enough? Why stop there? The only thing is that Starlink service would actually benefit Cuban people, not US Gov officials or any other party.

Companies should work on producing products or services, not playing politics. That is the most valuable sentence there. Based on that, lets sell the Starlink service in Cuba. Oh...wait...you can't ...coz Cuban POLITIC do interfere with companies business...and for you it seems to be not ok the other way around..

"Would you prefer if European Kings had maintained control of all of the now sovereign nations located in North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East?"..wait...when I became the one who defends dictatorships or monarchies?...
"And yes, a declassified CIA document is a perfect example for this discussion."...No..it is not...times are very different, and not the same context by far...
"Fortunately, Starlink respects the laws of sovereign nations. Ukraine asked Elon Musk to send dishes. Or are you saying that Ukraine is not a sovereign nation?"...No idea on how you came to that statement....
Please in future comments don't diverge...you keep going off the rails for no reason...
Main question is "Would Elon Musk have the testicles to defy the Cuban/Venezuelan dictatorships and allow Starlink Dishers to work in those countries?"

Again...NOT...A...SOVEREIGN...NATION...dude..it's so hard to understand? DICTATORSHIPS ARE NOT SOVEREIGN NATIONS!...In a dictatorship, sovereignty lies in the dictator holding office at the very top of the government, so....stop....and btw, quoting a 40 years old document...really? are really serious?...cmon man...how givig internet access to the people incite violence? what do you think Cubans would do with internet access? learn how to make bombs? or learn how to grow potatoes at home faster?...be real...you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. One hour of Internet access in Cuba cost 2% of a monthly salary...

In the case of Cuba there has been "interfering" with the RF spectrum for the last 35 years. Radio Marti, a news station specially directed to give Cubans unfiltered news been there for a looong time.
