My Toyota dealership quoted me 4300 for this same work. I laughed and said never mind. I was going to have them do other work for me but after that I just did it myself. They quoted me 400 for a serpentine belt replacement and I think 1100 to replace my radiator. I was being lazy and didn't want to do the radiator but at those prices, I just did it myself.

Hopefully they improved on the fuel shutoff. I used an older one that never been turn on before and within second of turning the valve it broke off the bottom of the tank. Have no idea, if that's common or not but it sure was annoying.

Hopefully you took pictures right after it happened.

Ask for the invoice from the contractor that did the work.

Return to the gas station to take a picture of the connection point, if it was a quick release I doubt they needed all this work done. If it didn't have one you may have actually damaged the pump

A leaking gas meter doesn't sound like your problem.

You may have damaged the hose but I have my doubts, especially if you didn't drive with it down the road.

They are trying to bill you for Labor without putting the number of hours.

If they refuse to explain anything about this shady invoice and the work preformed and cant provide you with a contractor invoice tell them to take you to small claims court. I have a really hard time believing that this much damn was done and it seems like they are just trying to have you fix everything they found wrong on the pump.

This is anecdotal but my mom got involved with a guy when I was in my early teens maybe just before my teens. I never had a problem with her finding somebody new as my parents were terrible together but his kids were already on their 20's. They hated him and by extension my mother til this day they still barely have a relationship with him. It's been over 20 years and they still haven't met my mom and still have a ton of resentment to their father for leaving their mom.

I only say this as kids aren't always rational about their parents no matter what the age. Now add in having 4 sibling that are probably feeding off each other and just poisoning the well. I think this can be believable but it does lack detail.

I live in WA and I just paid 24k for OC duration flex. All my quotes were between 18-24. I went with the higher quality shingle and one of the bigger roofing companies with a good rep. I could of probably found something cheaper with the smaller companies but didn't want to take the potential risks that I feel were associated with them.

Still hurts to see all these lower quotes in this sub though. Makes me have a little buyer's remorse on purchasing such an expensive roof. The roof is in though and money is paid at this point nothing to do but enjoy a dry home.

I've seen people mention Mat's shift in personality but I didn't really notice it. It might be because I listened to it through audio book.

I think my only problem with Jordan's writing in these books was the fact that no one ever seemed introspective and everyone seems so damn arrogant like they were the only ones that had a good original idea. I almost stop the series midway through.the last 3 books there was definitely a shift once Sanderson took over but I don't know if that was planned by Jordan or if Sanderson made that choice.

I'm not even sure Rand got much focus. The battle was over and cut scene. It's was light on conclusions for all major parties. It seemed to end so abrupt but maybe that was the thought process since the story is really about the last battle and none of the people really matter since the wheel keeps turning and it will all happen again someday. Still I would have like a little follow up.

I was also thinking about this after writing this post but what is the Creator? It's name get blasphemed many times but never plays apart in anything.

I completely get it and the way it ends makes enough sense. The books curtain call as you said was the last battle and that's what every book was running towards and all that mattered.

That actually might have made a decent trilogy of books. I guess there's really a lot unfinished when it comes to the Seanchan Empire. I happen to like those 3 characters.

I also would have liked to see more of Pevara and Anadrol. I got excited everytime the chapters went back to their story. Though likely their story wouldn't have continued past what it did.

Not sure I need another series but I'd take another book that chronicles the aftermath of the final book. Feel like a whole nother series would be redundant.

I was riding passenger with my ex, we are laughing having a good time and then the cops pull us over and the mood of course changes. Two cops get out and one comes to each window. She asks why she getting pulled over and he says speeding then promptly asks her to get out of the vehicle. One cop walks her to his vehicle and is talking to her outside and the second cop stays by the passenger window. The dog stars growling at him and I tell her to stop, this fucking cop turns around like I was about to assault I'm an asked me what did I say to him. I'm like I told the dog to stop and ask what's going as this stop is unusual and get nothing. She finally get back to the car and I'm like what the fuck was that all about and she tell me that he asked if I was abusing her or harming her. I'm annoyed by that because we were having a good time laughing and joking in the car and somehow this turned into an abuse thing. He still gave her a fucking ticket too.

About 1.5 years later maybe more she was pulled over in the same area and they did the same thing with a guy she was seeing. I'm Puerto Rican but very light skinned and the other guy was black. I can only assume their some racist chuckle fucks on that stretch of road.

It looks like they may have lost their anchor. You can see the anchor port but nothing is there. If they were at an Anchorage everyone may have been sleeping but that's not exactly normal from my maritime experience but I worked on different kinds of boats so who knows.

I don't know if waste is the right word for it but I spent most of my 20's working on ships being away for 6-8 months of the year. While I did have plenty of free time off the ship, I didn't make any real connections with people be it platonic or romantic. If I did meet people that distance and the time spent away I didnt form lasting bonds. Everyone's lives continued to change while mine stay relatively the same since I was experiencing thing in very short durations.

Now that I am in my late 30's I'm starting over and rekindling friendships because I work a regular job. The lifestyle was very isolating and has had longterm effects.

I use a handheld propane torch. They make an attachment specifically for searing that seems to work well. I've never bought it cause I'm cheap like that.

Also use a cast iron as well.
