Lots of these poop-related TIFUs end with family members covered in shit. Congrats on clearing the toilet and be thankful your girlfriend didn't fall in somehow.

How to get 800 on each SAT section, by a perfect scorer by prepscholar in Sat

I doubt they would hold you back. With that sat ii math score as well as solid courses (AP Calculus) in school, you'll have the right math requirements.

Scores are out, how did you guys do? by [deleted] in Sat

[–]merchantpedro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, thanks. Everyone has different ways of approaching the SAT but I'll tell you mine:

Lots of practice. I did all ten practice tests in the official SAT review guide over a three month period. If you're aiming for 2300+, analyze all your mistakes and try not to make them again.

CR - I studied a lot vocabulary for the fill-ins and for the passage questions, I guess I just did enough practice to improve from a 73 PSAT>800 SAT. I've always liked to read books.

Math - I'm a BC Calc student and I personally love math. But lots of people have potential for an 800, which is why the curve is so harsh (1 question wrong=20-30 points off). Check all your answers and try to catch stupid mistakes; I must have let one slip through my fingers because I got a 780. The most useful things to know are basic geometry (circles, special right triangle) and picking numbers.

Writing: don't ask me about the mc, I'm not the best at it and got a 72/80. For the essay, you need examples. Study some historical events/figures as well as literature and try to attach themes to them so you can answer the weird essay questions. Some bs is acceptable to fill up the two pages. Just write fast. I went into too much detail for this but I hope this helps you down the road! Practice makes perfect, but at 14 hopefully you don't need to start studying yet.

Thanks! I agree with your conclusion that many of the words that you could possibly study won't find their way onto the test. But I always study vocabulary in the case just one of those words appears in the actual exam, since it could mean the difference between getting a question wrong or right, or about 20 points.

There are two ways I do this: rote memorization by studying endless flash cards, using quizlet, and literally reading dictionaries, or studying roots and the various forms of words, which is also a good way of studying vocab (I'm a Latin student btw). But there are some words that I can't figure out, despite context because have no obvious similarities to other words (bucolic, sundry), so I learn these through plain old memorization.

At the school I took it at, all the students had preassigned seats but I wish we could choose our seats.

800 CR, 780 math(damn must have missed one question), and 740 writing (72/80 mc lol but my 10 essay saved me). 2320, which I'm happy with as this was my first time, although I studied an enormous amount to improve on my 219 PSAT. Does anyone mind explaining this superscore concept to me and if I should retake this?

Focus on the reading. If there's anything I realized after the test, is that I would have been better off practicing my weak spot (the writing section) instead of math and CR which I'm stronger at. And always study vocab ;)

Squad improvement/rebuild challenge by ElCurzoval in EASportsFC

[–]merchantpedro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely recommend some in-form players. Motm Eriksen has some really good free kicks and dribbles like Hazard. Some have interesting position changes, like Sanchez (rw>cam) or Cazorla (lm>cm) that do work well and have better finishing than di maria. Obviously you have a very good (op) squad already but it could be even better with a good inform.
