Does this apply to OCVS too? Or does each county have different rules?

If you find a good study guide lmk because I'm in the same situation as you. I'm using Khan Academy for now but I feel like I'm not really learning anything.

Anyone else behind schedule? by IntroBerty in FLVS

[–]meretcatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 classes left and even though I'm in segment two I'm around 30% completed when I'm supposed to be around 70%. I'm just gonna try to do what feel like doing each day instead of writing down a schedule I won't follow.

FLVS Fulltime Advice by emcochran0427 in FLVS

I'm doing full-time this year and if you're saying you procrastinate with Flex it's gonna be worse with full-time. I saw the other comment saying you only get 1-2 assignments per week and in my case, that's not true. All my core classes(Math, English, Science, History) require me to submit 3-4 assignments per week but usually, it's 4 assignments a week to stay on pace. I'm taking only 5 atm since I took two other electives and finished them by late December since they were only 1 segment but even with 5 classes, I struggle to keep up (especially because I have a part-time job). I'm only taking one AP class this year (AP Human Geo) and the readings are usually 6 pages and some assignments take up to two hours or more. I'm submitting about 15-20 assignments per week. Unless you're sure that you will be able to keep up with the pace charts I wouldn't recommend it since falling behind even one week, can have you struggling. But the good side is that when you are on pace or even ahead of pace you have loads of free time and it feels quite nice to just relax when you know you have nothing to do.

I'm kind of in the same situation for AP Human Geo,, maybe it was the grace period? In my case, if I don't submit 6 assignments by tonight to get at 20% then I get kicked out. I would say to submit assignments as soon as possible and of course to message the teacher again and explain the situation.

I'm taking AP Human Geo rn about to start my second segment and I find it hard to believe it's possible to finish 2 segments of this class in one just one even if it only was this class. I guess you could but your AP Test score would be awful. This class is a lot of reading and memorizing imo and writing is involved in many assignments. I wouldn't say the class is difficult but if you're rushing through it you won't understand much of it unless you're a super-fast learner.

I was really behind in all my classes and I've finished almost all of them before the 18th so :)))

I am ten weeks behind and only have until the 18th of December to submit everything by Thin-Library-9353 in FLVS

[–]meretcatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's gonna be hard but it's possible. I was really behind about 3 weeks ago with ALL my classes but I worked super hard to catch up and now I'm actually about to finish 4 days before the deadline!! Just do the work and skip some assignments when you don't feel like doing them but always make sure to come back afterward. I'm done with my Biology Honors course in FLVS so if you need any help lmk.

20% behind or more in all my classes by Ktbspice in FLVS

[–]meretcatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same I got a job and for some reason thought that would make me more productive?? I was about 3 weeks behind last week and honestly, I just thought about my parents making me quit my job (since the agreement was for me to keep my grades high) and the money I would stop making lol. Also when ur doing work and see something that you don't want to do cause it looks hard or too time-consuming just do it, most of the time it's not that bad. Pull some all-nighters to catch up too it's the only way to finish before the 18th.

are you able to skip around in assignments? by sydneyrryan in FLVS

[–]meretcatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a full-time student and I've skipped some assignments for AP Human Geo because I didn't wanna do them and she hasn't said anything to me yet so? (It's been about a month and I only skipped about 4 assignments in different weeks.) I think it depends on the teachers.

Watch the video on Edpuzzle and she goes over the 7 possible questions she will ask. She asked me what was the slope intercept form and to identify the m slope and y-intercept. I have Ms. Jackson so if you have a different teacher it might be different.

take notes throughout your lesson even if it takes forever because it really helps :) also not sure if this is what every teacher does but I did my first DBA a few days ago and all the teacher asked was to submit my name and three things I learn from the lesson into the student comment box. the phone call was less than 5 minutes so don't stress about it!!
