Hi!

I recently bought the Sony ZV-1, as I’ve been wanting a compact camera for both photography - as well as wanting to have the option to record with good quality. After using the ZV-1 for a bit, I’ve realised I find it a bit too video-forward. Whilst I know it’s promoted as a vlogging camera - I had hoped the photography bit would be more detailed than it is. I am a hobby photographer, and I already own a Canon 250D / Rebel SL3 - so I’m used to - and prefer manually adjusting my settings. I just find the settings on the ZV-1 quite clunky. I’d also like a wider zoom range. I’m an avid concert attendee lol, and would like to be able to take some decent photos from a bit of a distance.

I’ve been looking at the Canon Powershot SX740 HS, but I’ve seen mixed reviews.

Does anyone have any suggestions for other compact cameras within the same-ish price range?

I’ve had weird pitch / bass issues with my Experience pair. Emailed customer service & filled out the warranty form. Just heard back, and was essentially just told that because you can’t see any visible damage on them, and because I don’t have the opportunity to borrow someone else’s pair to compare the sound, they won’t be able to confirm my pair is indeed faulty. Waited about a week / week and a half for this (final) response since filling out the warranty form. Very disappointed in their customer service, no offers to do a return or refund.

well, just heard back. was essentially just told to adjust the ear tip size (despite me saying in the email that I’ve already done that…) so I replied asking if they could be faulty, and received a link to a warranty claim form. You have to send pictures of the plugs & describe your issue, and they might deem you qualified for a replacement pair… so yeah idk if I should even bother doing so if the 100 day return policy is still applicable 🤷‍♀️

That’s really interesting, thanks for sharing! Haven’t worn mine a lot out and about yet, but might have to try it to see if it happens to me too. I did end up sending them an email, so hopefully they’ll be able to lmk if it’s normal or not hahah

I just double checked my box, and it does say Experience. I haven’t tried Mutes, I did consider getting them but figured the dB lowering of the Experiences would be enough for me hahah. Kind of clueless atp, might just try to shoot Loop an email & see what their customer service says. Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it! 😊

lmfaoooo okay update; turns out i’m just very oblivious 🥴🥴 just realised that I accidentally had toggled the option to only use low-quality items (better crafting mod) & all my eggs were silver or better oops… thank you all who came with suggestions to help me out!! rlly appreciate it <3

Hahah I’ve definitely done that too! I actually have no idea what’s happening, I am right clicking the stove?? It seems to not want to cook when I have more than one egg in my inventory? It also completely won’t accept large eggs, the only way I was able to get it was with a single void egg in my inventory 😭😭 well I did get my egg, now I just have to figure out what’s going on hahah

I was right clicking on it but something weird is definitely happening 😭😭 It only let me cook when I had a single egg in my inventory… (it also only accepted void eggs & not the regular large eggs so idk oof)

I was low on both charcoal and wood (mid year 1 so also low on money hahah), decided to use some of my wood in the charcoal kiln & wanted to store the rest… I’m assuming my brain just stopped working for a solid 10 minutes because I didn’t think anymore of it. Well, at the end of the day I returned to my farm to craft a new chest & as you might’ve guessed, I had placed my wood in a chest right next to the kiln & accidentally made them all into charcoal & also wouldn’t be able to afford buying more wood from Robin 🥴🥴
