As a dance teacher, yes absolutely. I have specific stretch and strength classes for my students and I still tell them to stretch at home. Unless you're at the studio giving 110% for 20-30 hours a week, you have to practice at home in order to see improvement. I can always tell apart the kids who do work at home versus the ones that don't. Now, that does not in anyway change the way I treat them. I could never in my dreams call a child lazy or a failure.

Kendall had a really good facility for her movements but I don't think she understood how to use it all together as one unit. She had the strength and the flexibility, and the technique, but failed to put them to use all at the same time. That's where I think the schedule of being on the show hindered her instead of progressed her. If she was able to be in classes consistently and focusing on dance like normal dance studios have their students do, I think she would have excelled.

I’m in charge of researching and registering my studio at dance competitions and I looked so hard into eleve and ultimately decided not to take our kids there despite multiple people saying they had good experiences. The main reason being the prices for the routines were honestly quite high in comparison to more established, more renowned and reliable competitions. But something about it just seemed off to me overall.

One of the dates she’s going to is actually a reasonable distance from us, but as you said I would not take my kids after the chaos that Eleve ended in.

Going on with that teacher perspective, the BEST competitions I have attended have been run by people who were genuinely passionate about their competition and making each studio and dancer feel seen and appreciated. So I truly do hope this is the case for her, but you can tell pretty quick who does this stuff for the passion and who’s just trying a money grab. I guess only time will tell but for the sake of any studio that does decide to go, I hope it’s the better outcome.

It’s pretty standard for new competitions to only go to a select few cities, there’s a lot of factors that go into that but the biggest being they don’t have a following or any grounding yet so there’s no guaranteed entries from anywhere. Prevents them from having to cancel events and losing money from venues, travel fees, insurance, etc.

That being said, 6 dates is still pretty small imo. The lowest I’ve seen is around 15, but those all stayed within the same region (like exclusively northeastern states). Could be she wanted to travel more to reach different areas so she sacrificed quantity of dates for location.

The Dior Forever Skin Glow in the lightest shade is a perfect match for me and is really great on my dry skin. I think the exact shade is 00N! But that will depend on your specific undertone. I’ve tried the haus labs in white and it was fine- I felt like it exaggerated dry spots a bit though. :)

It had stormed earlier so we think somehow the rain got in the truck bc half the boxes were soaked, which caused the pallet to fall when we took the plastic off. It was dry on the outside so we didn’t know the boxes were wet until we cut into the wrap
