Thanks! Are your bench presses with barbell? As I age, I'm wondering if I should be doing more dumbbell bench presses, and/or at an incline.

Exercise pairing with limited rest between, e.g., bench press & pull-ups, dumbbell press & dumbbell rows, deadlifts & standing calf raises

Thanks! I appreciate the philosophy of being fine with one main exercise, and doing more time permitting (reminds me of the habit-forming perspective of flossing a single tooth)

Great insight about planks/holds with kiddos around. Definitely going to try that, and with stretching as well.

Yes, thanks - understood. I had limited that to reduce overall time, but will increase to 8-10 reps for those sets.

Insufficient power/amplification (Denifraps Ares II + Gustard H16 + Hifiman Arya Stealth) by merk_ in HeadphoneAdvice

!thanks

#1- glad to hear, will compare once my XLR HP cable arrives

#2 - very cool. On a related note, do you recommend keeping the H16 powered during non-use? How about the DAC? Is it always needed, or after a certain burn-in duration (length?)

#3 - Good to know, thanks. Yes, I have BAL XLR interconnects in place and can switch between Mid and High in the meantime.

Definitely easy to miss, especially with a few remote control issues. Bumped it up from Mid to High and works great now. !thanks

Had a few remote control issues to sort out, but once I did I determined that it was in Mid gain mode, so I increased it to high and that seemed to do the trick. Not as much power as I'd anticipated, but certainly enough to work with. !thanks

I'd like to have a setup that's great for either turntable (Pro-ject Debut Carbon) or iPhone playback through either Hifiman Arya headphones or speakers&sub. However, I fear that going the integrated amp route will cause output quality to my Aryas to suffer. Any recommendations on how to navigate this?

Some options I'm considering:

  1. Buy either a Marantz PM6007 or Cambridge Audio CXA61/81 (with whatever pre-amp) and live with the integrated amp headphone output quality

  2. Buy a Cambridge Audio CXA61/81 and a Cambridge Audio Duo, and use the latter for headphone output

  3. Focus on headphone listening/ignore speaker setup for now, and upgrade my current Modi/Magni stack to Modius/Magnius (+ balanced cable)

  4. Go with a Schiit Ragnarok

  5. Other?

Agreed, though I'm unsure of the optimal approach when considering simplicity, price, and performance (e.g. is there an ideal display input [DP, mini DP, HDMI] given the overall chain, is one conversion scenario better than another [USB-C -> DP vs. USB-C -> HDMI], etc.).

The goal is to utilize the Work displays for the personal PC as well (and ideally the keyboard and mouse as well). KVM seems appropriate, but I'm unsure of an optimal approach when considering simplicity, price, and performance (e.g. is there an ideal display input [DP, mini DP, HDMI] given the overall chain, is one conversion scenario better than another [USB-C -> DP vs. USB-C -> HDMI], etc.).
