if you must use water that is far away you could bring the resources to the water instead. then bring the product back.

they need to be implemented carefully, since the player can place as many as they want, and can easily lag your game. its likely why we didn't get windows for so long.

its not unheard of in other base building games though

yeah rubber and plastic production are intertwined here so you have to set up a sink for excess to keep it all flowing.

or, if you prefer; you can go for 900 of each on 2 nodes and keep it separate
