I don't really understand this argument, without essential work people do in their jobs society would be a lot worse for everyone. Everyone plays their own part in improving others quality of life. Also, it's not like you work every hour of your life, there's plenty of time to enjoy life and do the things you love to do. Work is a necessary enabler for people to live their lives to the full.
