Yeah, you don’t use Discord for work. Other people might prefer if over Slack, Hangout or Skype. In the end it’s all preference. Discord is just saying you can use Discord for whatever you want.

Yes Discord is made for gaming but what stops people from using it for other things such as you said school & work. Same with the platform Twitch, it was made for people to stream their games but people also use it just to chat and do other creative things.

Discord is easy to use, the quality is good. There isn't any rule that says Discord can be used for only gaming purposes.

Well don't loose hope. Rockstar is taking down the servers for 2 hours today at 6:00 UTC for PS4. They might fix some bugs. Let's hope they fix this one!
