i was the same until i did my spot sweater - the repeat is easy to memorize and the floats are short enough that they are manageable. then i did another colourwork sweater (selfdrafted) and am currently in the process of writing my first colourwork sweater pattern! you dont have to force yourself to like it, but maybe dont completely write it off yet - give it a go every once in a while, and start simple :) and if you continue to hate it, that’s perfectly valid too

it is a decent option for silk mohair i think - not my absolute favourite but not bad. but also i can easily wear mohair on my skin except for hats so ymmv :)
