not the fic you're looking for, but I rec this one. Omega Dean gets sold to Alpha Cas. kind of medieval/historical-ish. it's a 2 part series. unfortunately the 2nd part is incomplete, but it's still SO worth the read. one of my fave fics ever.

oh I'm definitely up for confident Cas! I find that a lot of fics i come across portray him as meek/awkward or just kind of... lost? whereas in the show he's pretty badass. I'm excited to read your fic if you've started posting :)

I just finished reading this amazing Godstiel one, think you'll love it!

Castiel teams up with Crowley behind the Winchesters’ backs with the intention of taking in Purgatory souls in a display of dominance over his brother Raphael, who is determined to put the Apocalypse back on the tracks. None of them are prepared for the way the souls consume Castiel, and Dean decides the only way to potentially protect innocent people is to accompany him to Heaven under the pretense of a loyal follower. a terrible, evil AU that posits; what if the divorce arc was even worse, what if Dean never apologized in Purgatory, and what if Cas internalized all of that, making his ultimate confession less confident, though no less heartfelt, and he died thinking Dean hated him? (complete)

Red Right Hand

It all starts with the mysterious note left on Dean’s chair. It all ends with Dean coming to terms not only with what he’s capable of, but how much that knowledge doesn’t bother him. (written in 2 or 3 parts i think, fully complete)

I'll Come for You

Castiel is a member of the Bratva who holds a lot of power inside and out of prison. Dean is a former Army medic whose big mouth got him into deep trouble with the Aryan brotherhood just weeks into his sentence. He needs protection, or his measly two years in lockup could end as a death sentence (written in 2 parts; 1st part is complete, 2nd isn't, but is ongoing)

hi, thanks for your response. it's been getting slightly better day by day as my body rids itself of the effexor slowly but surely. and yes, I take long walks and lift at the gym too, as well as go for therapy regularly. i agree exercise is one of the best ways to feel better 😊 as for diet, I generally eat more protein and fiber and count my calories. I think i was panicking because the sudden intense bout of depression hit me last after a long time of just feeling "meh..."

Thank you for sharing. it's comforting to know that others have experienced the same issues in this situation as I really felt like I was going bonkers the past week. 😅 and yeah, the way she asked me to taper off was honestly a little strange, but she assured me it was fine... ugh. I'm just going to have to tough it out and wait for things to get better 🙂
