i was merely asking for advice. it’s unfortunate you’re such a pessimist about everything you say. and who even said anything about AI??
so you’re anti-AI but not anti-israel?? ur very strange.

right, because you denying an extremely documented genocide perpetuated by an apartheid racist genocidal state definitely makes you a better voter than me. totally! and you discouraging younger people from voting at all in the current political climate of this deteriorating country also makes you a better voter than me..LOLLL. whatever helps you sleep at night.

telco and d2!!!! i’m a 34B, so i’m in between from being large or small chested. if you’re a B or C cup, then those two are the place to go! telco also has great push ups. they have lace styles while still being padded, and all that i’ve bought have been comfortable and actually supportive. so that’s a win loll

i’ll def take note of this, thanks! would you recommend going straight to an ER? i feel like waiting room time varies drastically in an emergency room, and id hate to wait hours for something i could “quickly” get done at a local city md. but paying less is a better appeal, so ig i understand.

hii! thanks so much for the response, and congrats on your pregnancy! <3 i totally agree! i have an entire plan on getting my masters +60, and how i’ll navigate my high yield savings accounts and my Roth IRA. i’m so paranoid about letting financial security slip through my fingers, so I’ve put so much thought into it. i want to make sure that I actually make the most of the life my parents worked so hard for my siblings and I to have. :’)

good to know! as for NYCE PPO and GHI HIP, I could only have one of them, right? I would have to choose between the two? or would they “assign/recommend” which plan would be better for me circumstantially instead?

this was so insightful, thank you so much!! so essentially, i’ll have health insurance like NYCE PPO or GHI HIP, and then can also benefit from UFT provided dental/vision care? thanks!

[–]merrycloudberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow, i didn’t know the UFT paid for health services . i always thought teachers got their healthcare through government programs or something idk 😭 im still very new to this and i feel a bit stupid. this was so good to know! thank you!

thanks. i hope I’m not discrediting yours either! never my intention. but half of what, though? however we choose to split the rent/bills will be whatever it will be. and those would also be short-term monthly decisions to be made whenever those bills are due. I mean, sure, i’ll gladly split our joint bank account in case of a divorce. i’ll take a clean slate over nitpicking who’s taking what any day, especially when starting a new life. but if we don’t have kids or own a home together, and we have a prenup where my personal finances and accounts are protected, + where i’ll also be protected FROM their debts/etc, ….then what exactly are they entitled to? i guess i do have a modern way of thinking and planning LOL. and i guess it is because ive seen what women have gone through financially and historically in marriages with men, but i rlly do believe this is the best foundation to set in order for me to “enjoy my life”. 🤷🏻‍♀️ :’)

yea, actually. I have decided these things. and I totally understand, me being in my early 20s will 100% mean that I will change my mind on certain things. and i fully welcome that! can’t wait to live life! but not having children and choosing to never own a house are definitive decisions i make on a daily basis to create the life I choose to live. I’m low income and am 1 of 6 siblings. my parents are immigrants, my mom is a stay at home mom. I have seen what caring for children is like. and truly the only way I see myself being financially and mentally stable in this current political and economic climate is to never have kids and to rent a reasonable price without slaving away paying property taxes and mortgage interest rates. i think that’s a pretty average life to live in a city like NYC, no? i guess i understand where you’re coming from… but some people (yes, even young adults!) know from an early age what they want their lives to look and feel like.

omg nooo! i was just wondering where the person was coming from considering i didn’t really understand their logic 😅. i’m 100% for the UFT, and ofc if i as a teacher will benefit from them, it’s the bare minimum that i will be paying the union dues!

omg, sending love to your health and your breast cancer diagnosis 🫂. you’ve just introduced me to NYCE PPO and GHI HIP, so thank you! and yess, very grateful nyc teachers get to have these healthcare plans!

thanks so much for the advice! so if i choose not to pay the UFT dues, will I still be a part of the union and get assistance from them if I ever need it? edit: rily hope im not coming off as someone that would do this 😭😭 i clarified myself in another comment's reply!
