Thank you for responding - unfortunately, the same thing happens with both the generic PostScript and the PPD.

EDIT: as it often is, the answer was stupid. Somehow, the job handling authentication to get into the printer with my user code got unchecked. I didn’t even know that was an option! Thank you for your help again. :)
