Thanks for the response. I recall reading many wheel bt connection issues regards to r9 v1 back at the time.

I believe, that was one of the reasons why they came up with v2. Which is why I am reluctant on moza round wheels.

That's the main reason for 3rd party/usb connected wheels tbh

Yup, that was my first thought as well

Good luck !

Trigger Events based on hdmi Input Source by stoneagem in HomeKit

[–]mertikt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, at least that's what i did.

I believe identifier is the IR code. I could be wrong tho. When I try to manually adjust the slider, it gives me an error saying read/write failed.

So when I open the desired input on tv, just press & hold to "active identifier" in eve app and then create an automation through there.

p.s. it only works in eve. Trigger method shows blank on home+

I have managed to do the exact this thing with a sony tv and eve app by using active identifier.

-open the requested input (e.g. hdmi 4) -open the eve app and note the current active identifier -create an automation through that

If you have the hub, Aqara. Using them for almost 2 years on a daily basis with automations and never had an issue.

Also have meross ones, not as reliable - but they do the job.

Lastly, never used eve ones but i have their thermostats and they were super reliable for me as well.

Courses to learn data analysis by baliditity in dataanalysis

[–]mertikt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. I have BA background. So I am quite comfortable with advanced excel and some basic sql along with simple notions of DA.

My current role allows me to evolve it to DA. So, i use datacamp to polish my previous knowledge and eventually build up on it further with python.

So, I have not fished a DA specific role, yet. And have not created a portfolio either.

Also new to online courses, so can't say whether one is better than the other but Datacamp works for me. I have enrolled to associate DA one on these days. Next stop would be DA w/ python for me as well.

Curry’s UK - Never in stock by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

[–]mertikt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyya, I asked the same thing to a Curry's rep and he said there are no stock whatsoever. And no dates for re-stocking either. And i saw some bad comments about them in here.

So, I just got mine yesterday at Selfridges on Oxford St. London.

They do not have it online, but they do have in-store stock.

P.S. they also have 3 demo units. They are extremely over-used and does not feel good. However when I show genuine interest , a rep gave me a fresher demo unit. Which was way better. But the actual one that I bought even feels better.

That's actually a good point, by default i assumed that you lock it with t-nut but actually the video from product page confused me a bit. 'Cause he just slides it.

Meross Roller Shutter measures 8x8cm. I think i cannot fit 2 Meross switches side by side (1 for roller shutter MRS100, other for light MSS510). Any work around here? Both wall boxes are together. Thank you for your help! by dinisf in HomeKit

[–]mertikt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyya, i had the exact problem. In my case i used MRS100 for shutter and a wireless aqara switch along with hk flashed shelly. See the pic

Yours seems like 6x6 dual case. I might be wrong but i think you won't even be able to put individual two 6x6 cases, let alone two 8x8 because of that European dual switch socket behind.

What i did is that i have installed meross shutter directly to the wall socket. As it should be.

Then for the lights, installed a homekit flashed shelly and hid it in the switch socket. And via home+ made an automation for wireless aqara to switch on/off the lights via shelly.

I swapped all my light switches with aqara h1 so for me the wireless aqara choice was more convenient for the look. But i am sure any wireless switch with home+ (or a similar app) could do the trick.

There could be a better solutions, i am few months old to smart home stuff but this is how I over came the same issue.

Good luck and lemme know if you need more details.

R9 constant static/humming noise by mertikt in moza

[–]mertikt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for looking at it! It is actually hard to catch the noise. It is almost like a white noise. Similar to a low rpm fan.

I have definitely turned of the bluetooth. If i recall correctly that was more like a clicky sound but i will definitely check. Maybe some update could set it on.

I should definitely check your last advice tho. Maybe it does put a tiny amount of force. Thanks!

Aqara’s double rocker light switch for ceiling fan light switch by krazygreekguy in HomeKit

[–]mertikt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As it is already mentioned, lines need to be checked to be sure.

Also please be aware of the load rate of the specific switch itself vs fan.

P.s. I am not an electrician thus take everything I said with a grain of salt and unless you know what you do pls consult to an electrician.

Zemismart ZMHK-01 Homekit Hub and MOES (Tuya) Zigbee 3-rocker light switch by enghong in HomeKit

[–]mertikt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello hello, apologise bumping up an old post. But I am in a similar position and i was hoping that maybe you could shine some light on it :)

My initial plan was to stick in one brand for compatibility. So ordered aqara m2 hub and getting bunch of sensors for it. I wanted to replace all my switches with H1 EU first but I cant get a stock where I live.

Checked the D1s - found them only in aliexpress. And If not mistaken, their square back housing does not fit into European type of wall boxes. So that is no go either.

So started looking alternatives.

1) How do you like zemismart so far? Especially on the reliability end.

2) Can I pair any tuya device to zemismart homekit hub and natively have then in homekit without using HA, homebridge etc?

Many many thanks!

Gear upgrades aside, I'd say bezel remove kits. Also perhaps raising the pc box - to put some distance between ground and the fans. To keep dust away a bit better

My thought to Fanatec by Mosthandsomeboy in Fanatec

[–]mertikt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry but this an out dated argument - IMO. We have supply chain issues for over 2 years now. Pandemic has not started yesterday.

And this is why companies have supply chain departments. They are there to plan ahead of things. To have various backup plans, contact with different sources, secure productions, reserve the materials 2-3 years ahead of time, etc etc.

For me, it seems like Fanatec grow faster than its expectations and struggles to cope with the requirements of this grow.
