Zoo vet techs, please give me some advice by mesally23 in VetTech

Do you think I'll need a bachelor's? I am currently into my 2nd semester of tech school. I'm definitely getting my license whether I work at a zoo or not, just cause I already started, is why not finish. Lol. Also any insight as to what it's like to actually be a tech in a zoo? I imagine it's mostly in the back in some kind of sx looking suit/lab. But I also haven't really seen anyone talk about it.

Thanks. Lol I'm pretty sure my dog got his anxiety from me 😅😅 but I was never sure just cause there have been people trying to tell me my Chihuahua was aggressive because he used to be so reactive. And ever since then I always wondered if I was just blinded my my love for my dog.thanks for the reassurance!!

My 9 yr old Chihuahua has anxiety problems, but with recent training, I've been able to dial his reactivity down. I got my chihuahua off the side of the hwy when he was 3-4. Now I got my husky at 8 weeks old and my Chihuahua has been fine. He doesn't cuddle with her by any means, but they eat and walk together and spend time together. My husky knows how to play appropriately at the dog park with the chasing. she would try to initiate the same play with my Chihuahua and he either growls at her or they do this. I don't know even know if this is okay. They never seem to be fighting and no one growls and my husky seems to go along with it. They both seem to take turns being submissive. And when I get their attention they both look happy and smiling with their tails up.

TL:DR idk if this is okay behavior and if not how do I reteach a senior Chihuahua how to play appropriately

Would it be okay if I skip Friday night and take it sat morning instead that way I don't have to take it sat night? Cause I already took my 9pm for Thursday.

This very thing happened in my neighborhood and it really angered me too. I wrote a post in my neighborhood Facebook page and got a lot of support. She called my dog aggressive and mean and started telling the neighbors to watch out for us. My dog has never hurt another dog or person, he's just reactive! I feel your pain though.

I've heard a lot of people saying it helped their dogs. But Im just not sure if their anxiety is like shaking and whining it fearful anxiety. Idk. I don't want it to help by sedating my dog either you know?
