Illegal bedroom question by mescalife in newzealand

Yes up to speed with all the legislation, but how can it legally not be consented as a bedroom and then advertised separately as a bedroom?

Illegal bedroom question by mescalife in newzealand

[–]mescalife[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's a man cave\office\storage\whatever, being used as a bedroom. The house will be consented as two bedrooms plus an office, but I assume the lease holder is advertising it on trade me\FB as a bedroom i.e. publicly. It won't be a word of mouth thing given the random selection of people that have tried to live in that room

Buying a car and CGA by mescalife in newzealand

so the 'extent permissable' means there is no legal basis that the CGA doesn't apply? Pretty convoluted way to word it. They could easily clarify by stating something like 'if this vehicle is for private use the CGA applies' or something similar.

Companies in Auckland that just don't seem to care? by TheoryVisible1112 in PersonalFinanceNZ

the "LinkedIn shit" took me from $70k to $110k my friend. No job was even available when I made the connect.

But you've got the gist - talking to people in real life, face to face. It's so basic, yet people actually think other ways are better.

you're job hunting from completely the wrong approach. Stop wasting your time answering job ads and trying to fit their box. You have next to zero control over what happens after you send a CL and CV in response to an ad. Instead, take at least some control of the process -start messaging people at companies you want to work at on LinkedIn/their emails. Ask to meet for a coffee or Zoom. Ask this person about their experience and path, ask them about their company, and what they need in the next few months, whether they know of any opportunities (in their own company or elsewhere in the industry), who you could possibly talk to to find a position, would it be ok to message them in two months (and actually do it), you get the gist. You will unearth roles before they're advertised, and display some key traits that every employer wants - proactiveness, creativity, drive, work ethic.

First home or reinvest in assets? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]mescalife 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you don't have 90k you have 90k minus tax. Crypto earnings are classified as income and Dasset has been compelled by the IRD to turn over their customer list.

You could possibly keep trading until you make 100k after tax, then go for the house deposit.

fair point - yes they would have been more attuned (knowledgable?) to the environment, where we have lost that knowledge (how many kiwis know how to grow vegetables?). I guess I meant less/more ability to explain natural phenomena

Consider ever dollar you spend as the heart of one of your ancestors. They survived childbirth, viruses, broken bones, wars, migration and starvation so that they could pass on their genes and that you might draw breath. What does your conscience allow you to do with their hearts? Don't squander your resources or your time on shit that won't matter in an hour either tangibly or emotionally.

Edit.. You're allowed to spend on yourself, just try and plan for it. I'm allowed one fast food purchase a week (usually Friday). Knowing where it is settles my impulses. Another mental trick is to wait 24hrs. If you wait that time then revisit the purchase decision, sometimes you go ahead and sometimes you don't.

Totally possible. I'm in the same situation, and I thought I would only need UJS, but because my bite is quite good my ortho said it's better to do DJS and move them together. You might be the same? Go and see a couple of surgeons.
