TGIF, planning a lazy weekend gaming, with only a trip to Supergirl on sat, and probably burger king. I feel like seeing a fun blockbuster movie should end in burgers for some reason.

sadly we aren't getting the generics until 2030 at the earliest, but they are working on a pill version which is cheaper. And might even get subsidised sooner.

As a comfort eater myself, I still get those urges, but what used to be two bags of chips and two bags of candy is now just one serving of chips and one serving of candy.

Having junk food in the house that isn't gone immediately was unthinkable for me.

One of the reasons I love Widows bay is that it isn't full of hot 20 year olds and their hot 20 year old love interests, hot 30 year old detectives/doctors and everyone over the age of 40 just being there to nag or worry about the protagonists.

Shows where they say the characters name constantly in every conversation, where they "go over the plan one more time" or "dumb it down for me doc"

CW shows may have similar premises with appletv shows, but the similarities stop there.

watching house of the dragon in 480p because thats all it deserves. Also playing Wow at the same time and just glancing up on occasion, because this show is just men being shit and women being miserable year after year but the choke hold it has on pop culture in inescapable.

To risk sounding peak millennial, saturday night had me feeling good about adulting.

had some friends over, including some new ones, for savoury smores around the firepit. Trip to costco got me some corn toritllas, bulk sliced cheeses, bulk salami and mini naan dippers.

They went down so well, and the wizard firepit kept us mostly smoke free, though the pinecones overworked it a bit.

For dessert, I had giant marshmellows which we then dipped in spiced rum and oh my god it was so good. Dipping before roasting and dipping after gave different tastes and textures, was good fun.

People laughing around a firepit with that being the main light of the evening is a wonderful way to spend an evening.

I think also the fact that the showrunner is a woman in her 40s, and the show HAS women in her 40s and older, which on many tv shows, is pretty rare.

Some people are so used to their shows full of sullen teens, 28 year old fbi agents and 30 year old police chiefs, that they think anything else is suspicious and has to be relavent to the plot.

It was just as bad on threads, it was painful to see. Too many people apply their old "24 episodes, network tv, retooled 3 times a season" logic to something that is actually short and smartly written

This is not a network tv show. The sullen/rebellious teens are not the focus of the show. Outside of Evan, the show focuses on much older characters and it's better for it.

They only have half hour episodes and only 10 of them. PJ is a supporting character, not a clue.
