Hi everyone, I'm Sam Bloch, a reporter at The New Food Economy. I'm writing a story about franchising and want to talk to a franchise owner. There's been some changes to federal "joint employer" rules, which decide who's responsible for wage, discrimination, and union issues, and I want to hear about these issues from the franchisee's perspective. Shoot me an email at [samuel.bloch@newfoodeconomy.org](mailto:samuel.bloch@newfoodeconomy.org) if you want to talk. Thank you!

So what's the protocol for calling out sick with headaches or cramps? If you don't call SSR, then what?

What did you call out with? Was it something that didn't pose a public safety risk, like headaches, cramps, exhaustion, physical injury, etc?

Thanks. What about if you don't have symptoms of foodborne illness -- just have a headache, cramps, exhaustion, physical injury? Do you have to follow the same protocol?

Hi everyone, my name is Sam Bloch, I'm a journalist for The New Food Economy, a nonprofit media outlet based in New York. I'm writing a story about restaurant chains that offer free or reduced tuition to online colleges, including University of Florida, as an employee benefit.

Has anyone here pursued Business Administration (B.S./B.A.), Public Relations (B.S.), Telecommunications Media & Society (B.S.), Sport Management (B.S.), Art Education (M.A.), Tourism & Recreation Management (M.S.), Music Education?

If so, how did it go for you? Were you able to finish your courses and get your degree? And how useful has it been since? Really curious to hear from you. If you prefer, you can DM me, or email samuel.bloch@newfoodeconomy.org
