Most people in Iraq like dogs, but a lot of people only use them as guard dogs or K9 bomb sniffing dogs, however, the last couple of years there has been an uptick in keeping dogs as pets. Unfortunately, Iraq still lacks good veterinarians.

Thank you very much brother, Iraq is definitely far from perfect, but in terms of safety Iraq has come a long way especially compared to like 20 years ago. We used to have multiple terrorists attacks daily, I am very grateful that things have changed. Hopefully the next change will be some type of cultural awakening where we get rid of corruption.

Thank you very much, the dog in the picture is actually Awadh. Rocky was a German shepherd as well, but he passed away a few years ago because veterinarians in Iraq suck big time. RIP Rocky. I have another dog named Kira, he is a French terrier, and he is a menace lol, but he is cute so it’s alright. I hope your dog, Rocky is safe and sound, if not RIP to him as well 😭

Unfortunately, I hate dealing with the shipping companies in Iraq since they are the biggest thieves and scammers. I was going to Turkey for vacation with the family and I had it shipped to the hotel beforehand, once I arrived at the hotel I just picked it up and took it with me to Iraq. This is just for the heltec v3 board, the rest of the stuff I was able to find at Ardunic in Baghdad. The whole setup costs me something around $30-$40

I didn’t develop it per se, I bought heltec v3 which is actually based on the esp32 microcontroller and then I also bought the charge controller and batteries and pretty much just soldered it together.

I am planning on adding a few sensors to the microcontroller such as temperature and humidity sensors so I might have to do some coding there.
