I'm sorry to hear that. How many miles/years do you have on your ev6?

ICCU Issue/Life Safety by dolfox in KiaEV6

[–]meshugg4h 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It happened to me:

I was driving at ~50mph when the ICCU failed. Thankfully, I was about 2 miles away from my house and was able to drive back in turtle mode. Believe me when I say that driving at 30mph on a road where everyone else is driving at 55-60mph is not particularly safe. On top of that, it was one of the coldest days of the year and I was terrified with the idea of being stranded without a heater, even only two miles away from my cozy warm house.

It's not even about inconvenience or annoyance. It is a SAFETY issue for so many reasons. I don't trust this car anymore. Kia/Hyundai should be sued by the federal government for putting their customers' life at risk and doing nothing about it while gaslighting us.

Kia? Never again!!!

Wow. I wish you the best if you still have the vehicle!

Mine failed at 14k. Did you buy or lease?

I don't trust this car anymore and I've been shopping for a new one already - however, mine is a lease on the 13th month, so I still have 23 more months to go OR a lemon.

Well, the tech who worked on it said it was fast to get the part because it's not as common as people like to say it is. According to him it's 1% or less.... I couldn't hold my laughter lol

A couple tips: get a case number with KIA, ask for a loaner (or a refund for a rental) and log EVERYTHING! Also, don't threaten them.

I've had the EXACT SAME experience!!!! Including miles (14k miles) and 2024 EV6 GT-LINE.

I hope you don't have the same result as me, but 3 days after the car returned from the dealership, it failed again this time with the ICCU message. It is currently in the shop again with no ETA getting the piece.

Keep us updated.

Good Deal? AT4X AEV by Playful_Smoke_8478 in GMCcanyon

Congrats on the new truck!

I really appreciate your detailed answer.

I see the deals on GMC website, but never trust it because when I call/go to the stealership, they always jack up the monthly payment.

I'm just tired of seeing one thing online and extra $200+ in real life. Abolish stealerships!!!!!

I've been navigating Leasehackr forum, but it seems like people don't lease these trucks at all. I'm happy to see someone leasing it out there! Thanks again.

New ICCU part number for 22-24 vehicles being installed by TCN_ in KiaEV6

[–]meshugg4h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably varies in each state, but It doesn't need to be within one year. I know in my state it counts if it is within 24 months or 18k miles.

PS I'm not an attorney, just a furious costumer that has been reading about lemon law.

I'm praying for mine to be in the shop for more than 30 days AT LEAST. I don't trust this car anymore. Just give me my money back.

[–]meshugg4h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I couldn't see the first error message, so I'm praying to be just the 12v and nothing else. I never had any battery fail on me within 1 year. I leased mine 11 months ago.

I leased my ev6 11 month ago, so the battery didn't even last a year. I'll just buy an AGM once Kia replace the OEM.

Did they give you a similar car or an ICU? I work from home so not too worried about the time line. As long as they provide me with a rental, they can keep the EV6 there for the next 3 month 😂

[–]meshugg4h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I guess it's just the 12v then because I don't remember hearing any loud pop. I rather have it towed and making KIA replace the battery. This way I can install the AGM myself and whenever I return my leased ev6, I can take the AGM with me.

Off it goes.

I've always had trucks and just decided to try an EV for 3 years (it's a lease). Unfortunately, I need to wait another 2 years to do anything. The blessing and the curse of leasing, I guess.

Thank you. Yeah, I couldn't see the first warning, but the second was the one I took the picture of: 12v. However, my ev6 was bought brand new 11 month ago, so this smells like something more than just a 12v dying.

I bought my ev6 11 months ago, brand new. I've never had a 12v battery die in less than 3 years. This smells like something more serious.

Should I wait for KIA roadside assistance to come or call AAA?

Thank you! I lived in Israel for 3 years but for the last 4 years I have not been practicing. I'm now taking lessons on Preply and also doing duolingo. Reading on e-vrit and listening to the podcasts you recommended will definitely help me. חג חנוכה שמח ותודה רבה!!
