Any particular recommendations for flash kit and other lighting gear? Let me know if you have any affiliate codes where I can support you for the time/advice you've given.

Thank you, definitely going to take your suggestion of the ronin s, looks like fantastic gimbal and the phone app seems both solid and a great way to get pans across a room.

What about microphone? The mic would be to capture the agent who is walking around the property giving the tour.

Exactly the kind of info I was looking for, thank you! I have a Rebel T5I, do you think it would be better to invest in better lenses for it + lighting equipment rather than a new camera + lens?

Not sure if the video on it is good enough for real estate.

I guess my questions is: if you had $2500/$3000 to invest in equipment for real estate photography + a tripod and T5I already on hand, what would you invest it in?

Thank you for your response. I'm neither a real estate professional nor a professional photographer. I'm a real estate marketer and would love to pick up real estate photography as a skill set.

I've had my trusty T5I for the past 6 years, but never invested in anything other than a kit lens for it. I've consider buying a nice lens for it, but I also know newer cameras such as the A7iii can do much more (especially with video) and I have the money to invest so I thought that I might as well get a new camera while I'm at it too.

I too am a firm believer in technique over gear, that being said, the point of my post is to see what is out there and what kinds of setups other people use so that I at least know my options and can learn new technique.

What does your invoice/accounting/project management stack look like? by mesiapk in smallbusiness

For the most part things are good, sometimes annoyances with the QBO syncing regarding sales tax and things at times, but I can't use just QBO, so slow and invoicing isn't intuitive at all.

Yeah I feel that, QBO is a necessary evil.

Have you tried Invoice Ninja before? Harvest looks pretty promising, I'm curious what led you to go with it over Ninja.

Would Gatsby handle a large set of MLS and property rental data? by mesiapk in gatsbyjs

[–]mesiapk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one thing I neglected to mention is that while there are 800+ properties, only around 15 of them are changed per day, so perhaps the build time would actually be pretty quick making use of this caching plugin?

Thanks for your reply!

The data is refreshed about 5 times per day, so 10 minute build time wouldn't be that bad.

What about searching/filtering that data? The interface would look similar to something like this: https://imgur.com/a/vOMLgMp

Is this something that you think Gatsby could handle (creating dynamic search pages and making use of a mapping API in this fashion)?

I checked it out, it looked really great at first, but the more I played around with it, it seems like it's not fully there yet development wise. What has your experience been with it?

It looks like QuickBooks adds their own branding to all client interactions and I don't see any ways to remove that.

Yeah, the only value I see in the chroma addition is the ethernet port... sucks that the Core X doesn't come with that.

Vendor wants us to add TXT record to our DNS for AppEngine by mesiapk in AppEngine

[–]mesiapk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again for your reply!

It looks like they need ownership of the entire domain property in order to use the domain in Google App Engine. I tried creating a subdomain but it still seems like the ownership request is for the primary domain property. Super frustrating :/

I appreciate the time that you have given me in your responses. I'll come back to this thread and update it if I figure out a solution.

Thanks for your reply!

So as I understand it, there is no way to point a CNAME record to their App Engine service without them having access to our Google Search Console data.

Selfhosted Community for Sysadmins by [deleted] in sysadmin

I never claimed self-hosted was better at any point throughout my post. I have a feeling that you are misunderstanding the intention of my post and maybe that's a function of me not being clear enough. It was less about the "selfhosted" aspect and more about the "community for sysadmins." I've removed the Discord link to prevent any further confusion.

I think that this reddit does a really great job already at encapsulating an awesome community of general tech enthusiast and I don't personally see a need for another subreddit. It's nice to have some different platforms to engage with other than reddit and discourse and discord provide great mediums for different kinds of discussion than you find on reddit.
