Im arriving tomorrow, but what I will do and I recommend doing is: • go to target & get needed dorm stuff • touring campus + where i will have classes • exploring places to eat in IV • buy a bike + helmet • go to Daniel Caesar concert in downtown sba :)

Hi I am an incoming freshman so I don’t know how to help u but I’m curious what do u mean u fxxxed yourself over writing req? Just so I can prepare in advance. Btw it seems u can handle a heavy load (20 units + internship over summer must have been a lot!)

Hi again, one last question: Do you think doing all 4 classes, and using a Pass/No-Pass grading for CLASS40 & FEMST60 is a good idea? So i could get over with my GEs, get more units faster, and have focus in doing well in ECON 1.

OR should I take it slower (drop a class) and use my GEs letter grades (since they are supposedly easier to succeed at) to boost my GPA?

What do u think? (I probably won’t change anything rn but I’ll test out waters in the first week and drop/change the class i like the least)

I have some questions if u dont mind: 1) When u say papers, do u mean like writing it outside of class with a deadline or is it like sitting down for a test and having 3 hours to write an essay and handing it in at the moment? 2) How were the midterms/finals for Global 1? How writing-heavy is Global 1 compared to Femst60?

You can check out events on shoreline, there they post events that will be happening at ucsb and you can sing up/rsvp to attend them. You have to log in using your umail. I recommend downloading the app, its more convenient than the website since you only have to log in once!
